I forgot what chap too but after herrace dies in the original story he became like the antagonist to the original female lead and the prince!! Hes the faceless brown haired guy that hasnt been revealed yet

Ok, so I looked it up, he is mentioned in ch. 2.
He's the friend of Herrace and he's the final boss in the original novel who became a vilian bc the blonde, mood-breaking dude died.

daniel is friend of herraceand prince of the country that fall recently to the empire.. he harvor bad feelings toward the empire.. he also work in the gild i think but in another country.. when in the novel herrace die because of the prince and the "heroine" he make things complicated to the crown prince been the only to be able to do so,, that is why litia is eager to meet him, she want to ask for his help to get away....

In the original novel Daniel didn't meet a bad end, he just disappear after giving the trash prince and his dumb hoe a final blow to their bloody love.
