I like this " conservation of energy" type magic system. It's pretty much more interesting than the whole meet-cute story itself. When she said " are you trying to catch a witch and feed her?", it almost felt like witches were a different species.
Don't get me wrong, I like the gender bendery stuff. But we almost had a full T4T romance... we were THIS CLOSE to greatness.

If I wanted to read about a yandere I'd go find a story with a yandere tag. This is a political drama and I expect the MC to be smart enough to eliminate the sadist with a claim to the throne, not marry him to her friend.

I dont think its fine at all. Now that they are dating, its a big no no if he cheats. Maybe before they were dating it was okay but now its not whether Yoshino loves him or not. he needs to be loyal now that they are a couple
