I think Wren killed Tristan's dad because he was a vampire hunter. And as we have seen from the other Ethan's story, the vampire hunters in this story are kind of assholes who kill all vampires, even the ones who don't hurt humans.
This story is same as Rix Vanus...Initialy interesting and then the story continues it's hella boring.. I don't even know in which direction it's going.....

They didn’t end up in some way (no reincarnation whatsoever) but its kinda ambiguous to say since the scene end with a possessed joohwan reaching out to the emperor.

In the ending scene side stories ch.15(end) showed that joohwan performing exorcism, calling for Lee Seon the king, right? He then possessed by his previous life/spirit a.k.a Cheonseong & well…. Its all in the topic link above, this reddit user (Livinginfiction473) explained it in details(7 months ago) based on his/her/their theory/understanding but i think its accurate to say it is until(if) the author explain/clear about it later.
And the scene/main/side stories ended there as a wrap : exorcists fainted, cheonseong’s reaching for lee seon, embracing each other, disappeared, might be anywhere who knows but for sure out of joohwan’s body.
All in all, they both got what they want : to be together
