no because when they start crying and talking about how they want to live their lives and how they’re going to stop at nothing to make their dreams a reality i start sobbing. AND NOW HE’S ADMITTING HIS GUILT AND OPENING UP AND I’M GETTING TOO EMOTIONAL ABOUT FICTIONAL CHARACTERS!!
maybe it’s just me that understands where he comes from? obviously there’s really deep trauma that’s rewired the way his brain works. when you’re consistently put through the same damaging shit, it becomes a second nature as a way to protect yourself. it’s not perfectly realistic but it’s pretty damn close to how somebody with trauma reacts when put in a dangerous situation.

Aaaaaaaaa I read the novel and I know what’s gonna happen, but that doesn’t make it any easier to read the comic. If anything, it makes me more anxious, although I’m really excited at the same time. Just know that everything ties together ^^
