I really tried to like this, thinking the top would get better, but nope. Laiyi, for all his shit-talking, kinda has a point - he couldn’t imagine his savior being a plaything because, in the first place, a savior shouldn’t be treated like that. Meanwhile, Zousen ignores Jing’s refusals every single time and keeps forcing himself on him, to the point where even his own men see Jing as a whore instead of the seasoned assassin he actually is. And are we just gonna ignore all the times he’s tried to mark him against his will? In omegaverse thats worse than he’s trash
Ugh this had so much potential. Uke is a total badass. But it was so obvious from the start the author only had one goal in mind - make the beta an omega lol

It’s a nice and satisfying plotline as long as you stick to the MC’s POV. I tried really hard not to look at this from an outsiders perspective while reading cos I probably wouldnt like him very much to be honest. But I can’t stop thinking about how he treated Kyunghan and how he had no remorse afterward—maybe things worked out for Kyunghan this time, which made the MC feel better about himself, but when you also consider how he altered everyone else’s lives for his own sake without much thought (like taking roles that originally weren’t meant for him, with the author turning those characters into side villains so we wouldn’t feel sorry for them), his second chance starts to feel more and more unjust. Also, everything almost felt ‘too easy’ after he went back—like he just did a complete 180 and suddenly had his life set without much struggle. I mean there were some minor setbacks but it got solved pretty much the next day or the next chapter lol.

Yall be hyperfocusing on the noncon/dubcon that happened 60+ chapters ago and not the character developments. Plus if you take the guideverse setting into acct it’s not very surprising infact it’s more realistic overall this still better than some 9+ sht out there

Where did i say that? Rape is never justifiable but you're putting your realistic standards into a completely unrealistic universe where there are monsters and guides and other whatnot. It’s used as plot device, and not without reason too because it can mean their survival. And most of it was done as a form of “transaction” meaning they both get something out of it. If you’re just gonna narrow your understanding of these plotlines into real life-typical moral codes then you’re better off not reading it in the first place.
I thought it was gonna be another typical kidnapping and stockholm syndrome plotline but that was a nice twist.
Also - the character designs remind me of ivantill lmao. Especially gitae he’s so till coded
just what i thought of(๑•ㅂ•)و✧
