I feel like the romantic moments are out of nowhere and they seem isolated. Like there's no lingering of feelings or sexual/romantic passion bleeding into their interactions. Like no heated gazes being crossed, or desire to keep doing things even when the plot is moving. Like they just cut their feelings off too cleanly between scenes.
I like that the father actually has a character. He's more complex than a simple "doting adoptive dad". Especially that last shot of his kinda sad expression

I unironically love this one because it's kinda so shit that it's camp. It's not really BAD but it gives indie writer so hard that I feel like I'm supporting a child making their first comic.
