I wish other Seme’s had this level of awareness.
Imagine being possessive and jealous oif the Uke had sex with others, but you’re a manwhore lol.
I love that the Seme here is aware how unfair it is for him to be jealous and possessive when he himself had multiple partners before, while Uke here is still a virgin.
Most yaoi comics I’ve read annoy me so much.
Uke is always a virgin, while Seme is a manwhore and they had the guts to be all possessive and jealous lol.
Makes me wish the virgin Ukes go and have some fin first before going back to Seme and w’ll see if that Seme will still love them the same way.
Don’t get me wrong, I have bo problems with people having sex with others—your body your decision.
What I hate is, a manwhore Seme who gets overly jealous id his virgin Uke is touched by others lol.
What if the Uke wasn’t a virgin? Will they still love them?
Anyway, just a rant.
I grew tired of this Virgin Uke x Manwhore Seme set up.
I want to see experienced Ukes too.

Uhhhh Botan wasn't mad that Maoka slept with someone else, he was mad that Maoka was potentially raped by someone he thought was a friend lol I highly doubt Botan would be upset that Maoka wasn't a virgin, it was the thought that someone could have harmed him in a way that would be difficult to ever heal from that set him off.
Yeah, he was starting to get jealous that Maoka was starting to branch out and make more friends, but that's a common thing with real people, too. Botan is ultimately happy that the two of them have so many wonderful friends and they talked everything out between them. He clearly loves and wants to protect Maoka from harm.
Are your eyes just used for decorations or something??

I know that.
Reread what I typed first.
I wasn’t bashing on Seme for being jealous of Uke’s “friend”, I was literally praising him for having some awareness about his past.
I am also aware that he was pissed of the possible non-con assault towards the Uke.
I was literally referring to the other Semes from other manhwas.

Then why did you state that you were tired of the trope at the end of your comment? I'll admit that I didn't keep the opening remark in mind, I've been at work all day and just spent 7 hours moving to a new house so I'm exhausted, but it still comes off as you being upset that Botan admitted to almost going off over Maoka possibly being assaulted.
Like, I get that you were ranting about other series, but this still could read as if you thought Botan was the same way in the end.

This was in reference of him being jealous of the Uke’s rock-climbing buddy.
That it even led to Uke almost breaking that friendship off.
The entire point is, I want manhwa’s like this—Seme’s like Botan who actually thinks about all the wrongs he has done in the past, and not just shrugging it off, like how most res flags out there who don’t even apologize adter assaulting their Ukes, or even after cheating, or sleepingnwith randos.
I get where the misunderstanding came from, and thanks for clarifying what your side.
(Congrats on your new home~~!!)

I would, if I could. Lol.
Bro, just admit you can't read and connect basic sentences. There's actually no need to explain the whole thing as it's self-explanatory already, you just happen to misalign and misinterpret the entire context. The fact you had to mind a comment that wasn't intended for you yet you feel so triggered you feel the need to be petty and retort just to make a point, speaks volumes. Pfft.
Ain't you who needs sucking? Looks like you're the one who's pent up and needs release.. That's not good.

The Seme is going to eventually cheat with an Omega, and hirt the Uke.
Adter that the Uke breaks up with him, the Seme with his pride and ego decides to chase after the Uke, gets into another accident, and finally remembers everything.
Then redemption arc starts.
And poof, Uke gets into an accident and loses his memory.

The story is historical.
Which is why, most instances are simple and straightforward.
In the past, people of authority should be regarded as such regardless of the crimes they have committed.
They are usually left unpunished.
Thus the spoiled, dumb scumbag Semes personality.
The humiliation he felt when Uke divorced him was actually a strong blow to his ego, which was so satisfying to see lol.
People of stature would rather die than be humiliated in public, that’s why Uke chose to publicly divorce hin, as a form of revenge.
Because, no matter how much he was wronged, an ordinary person should never take revenge upon their master. And Uke knew this, ao his best revenge was to make the Seme realize and feel how “insignificant” he was to the Uke. This the burning of all things related to Seme.
The Seme’s spoiled personality is actually rather realistically portrayed.
He grew up as a spoiled child, so he lacked wisdom.
He literally thinks like how a spoiled child would.
So yeah, that’s why he’s so narcissistic and egotistical.
So fuck him.
Also, spoiler: don’t expect any satisfying redemption arc, there’s not much lol.

Can someone summarize and spoil me pls?
It’s kinda hard to understand thank you

To summarize: MC (white hair uke) was in a relationship with scumbag ML (black hair dumbass) for 5 years.
ML treated him as a replacement for a childhood "sweetheart" all along and MC realized this was the case when the childhood sweetheart returned after being away to recuperate from a fatal injury from saving the ML. ML is overprotective of his childhood sweetheart and started to neglect and treat the MC like shit.
MC left after the ML stated "we were just in a physical relationship, wdym we're lovers???" when the MC voiced out his insecurities and jealousy (What a fucking dick ML). ML expected the MC to return to him begging and shit but the MC got involved in a car accident and was declared dead.
(Turns out, MC tried calling the ML as emergency contact, but since he was hanging out with his shitass friends and his childhood sweetheart, he didn't notice the call bcs the childhood sweetheart declined answering the call and deleted the history-- so yeah, the childhood "sweetheart" is actually a devil spawn.)
ML became delulu and depressed, refusing to believe MC is dead because he realized he actually loved him (Dumbass).
Turns out MC survived and the dead body was from the tour guide from when he travelled. Out of guilt thinking the tour guide could have lived if he didn't ask to be guided around the area, he chose to live the life of the tour guide whose dream was to be an actor and take care of his grandma.
So now, MC has a whole different name and occupation (rookie actor). Two years pass and after a sponsored event, ML sees MC again but MC is adamant (he's pretending) that he does not know ML and he's not the person ML was looking for. But because scumbag ML is a scumbag through and through, he stalks MC in every shoot he has and dictates what he should or shouldn't do for his roles.
This happens for quite some time until MC decided enough is enough and completely shuts out scumbag ML.
Some drama happens like kidnapping and shit on the MC with ML to the rescue (typical), and things get a bit better. MC eventually breaks character and reveals what happened but refuses to get back together with ML because he wants to focus on his career growth (good for him).
ML respects MC's wishes and promises to support and wait for him, which brings us to the current-- with the MC focusing on acting and stuff and keeping ML at arms length.

Scumbag ML redemption arc:
Honestly? It's very lukewarm.
After two years of torturing himself with drugs and depression, he agets his shit together after realizing MC really wants nothing to do with him anymore.
He saves the MC multiple times on kidnapping and other accidents and shit and eventually improves his relationship with MC.
He explains how he never received a call (during the accident), and that he was never treated as a replacement because he always loved him.
The catch though why a LOT of people still continues to hate ML:
When they were together in the past, ML decides what clothes the MC should wear, what he should eat, and always covers his eyes during sex, disregarding MC's requests and feelings.
ML explains that the clothes were from his company, hence why he wanted the MC to wear them, and he thought MC liked the food because he was always happy when eating them, and he covers his eyes because he gets really shy and some reason like that.
WHICH PISSES ME OFF BECAUSE THAT'S SO BULLSHIT??? The author just decided to sweep it all under the rug with that shitty explanation when the ML literally let his friends berate and mock MC previously and even explicitly called him a mere BOOTY CALL. Like what's the explanation in that huh, Author? Whatever, to summarize-- piece of shit ML that author covered up to say "it was all just a misunderstanding" was his "redemption arc", if you could even call it that I guess... ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

After the incident with the "missed call", scum ML's pure lil bro was sus of the blonde bitch. They eventually investigated and blonde bitch being a bitch was eventually aired out.
Turns out, even the incident when he "saved" ML was staged by blonde bitch so that ML would owe him.
Blonde bitch tried to harm the MC, but ML saved him (typical) and bij now out of their lives for good.

Obviously, sex, and anger inducing stories sell.
They purposefully make toxic tops and torture Ukes because the anger keeps the audience interested.
They want to see and know how it will end, or if the redemption arc is satisfying (which is mostly not).
Spoiler: he doesn’t get a satisfactory redemption arc.
Just your typical idiot bastard who starts acting all fluffy to make up for his sins.
But to be fair, in the novel, the Seme is not this idiotic.
He is smart and actually understood the pains he caused the Uke. He actually groveled and even gave up his own eyes for the Uke (aaand he stole someone else’s eye so fck him still), he got beaten up to the brink of death trying to keep Uke alive (still not a satisfactory redemption arc).
But damn, the manhua did him dirty, he looks stupid for no reason at all.
FAR from the novel.
Also, in the Novel, the Uke had absolutely no intentions to forgive him, even after reconciling, Uke was still harsh, cold, and uses mean words (slayyy) towards the Seme if I remember correctly.
But yeah, this adaptation is trash. Not worth reading.

i was so against reading the novel because i thought the ML would still be astronomically stupid lmao but im glad to see he at least had 5% more common sense.
honestly if he already did not have a satisfying redemption arc in the novel, maybe he did not deserve one in the adaptation. maybe him being portrayed as the DUMBEST ML (and ive read and seen a LOT of Dumb MLs) is punishment lol.
do u have any recommendations that are not bad manhuas?
I don’t care what anyone says, but Uke is stupid, selfish, idiotic, and doesn’t deserve Taehwan.
Even with his backstory, I couldn’t sympathize with him.
He completely hurt and ruined such precious person—voluntarily.
Nothing can ever excuse deliberate cruelty.
Even if you’re traumatized, hurt, and abused, no decent human deserves to be at the receiving end of your misery.
If Uke ever ends up with Taehwan, I hope you still suffer because you don’t deserve to be forgiven immediately.
As for the black-haired asshat, I hope your penis rots.
Imagine traumatizing someone else because you’re also hurting.
Does that sound logical to you?
I’m hurt, so let me HURT A NICE GUY WITH PASSION because I feel miserable and indecisive.
Let me traumatize him and make him feel miserable for loving me genuinely.
Stop being an ass, nothing is black and white.
The cheating didn't come from genuine lack of care or pure lust. It roots from deep trauma, abuse and manipulation.
It was horrible and wrong but not everything is as you say, victims of abuse also deserve some empathy. And what you say about logical, do you expect that from a character with psychological problems?
Oh right.
So hypothetically speaking, if Taehwan decides to un***ve himself after being hurt, or if he becomes traumatized forever from having his heart broken, would that argument still stand?
I understand that Uke was going through shit because of the people who hurt him. But if he ends up causing the same damage to someone else, would his trauma justify the domino effect?
I re-read it, and admittedly I was harsh and an ass for the initial comment, but when all things are settled, he needs to take accountability for using someone and hurting them in the process.
No one says it justify the bad things done, but trying to completely antagonize another victim is just wrong. And from what I saw in the latest chapter (99), it seems MC will finally start healing after escaping.
U tell em Nai
