I think it's made to look that the 3rd miss is the one who poisoned the dim sum coz it was her servant who did it. But it was the 3rd prince who made the servant to do that. So basically someone told him about the dim sum I think it's the 1st miss chenyu who told him. Otherwise why would 3rd miss implicate herself by using her own maid?
