how tho? seriously, if you read his part after raping Yeowoon (chapter 61), where it goes into depth as to their history together from Chang's point of view - Chang never saw Yeowoon as he actually is in most of the story (his own person, grown up man). He kept this messed-up image of a (young) Yeowoon, who imitated his actual brother and the younger boy/teenager he (guiltily) desired. Chang never really "loved" the grown up Yeowoon. Hence he also brutally tied him down via the debt, to keep Yeowoon as he, Chang, wanted him to be, to preserve that subservient "boy Yeowoon" Chang created for himself in his mind. And when Yeowoon diverted from that role, Chang lashed out. That's neither healthy nor really love if you think about it.
this is exactly what i thought, too. except I thought Chang was only so hard on Yeonwoo because deep down he knew he loved him. And after learning that he was sexually active and was seemingly interested in women, Chang wanted to keep Yeonwoo in a bubble to have excuses to see him and be with him without actually being with him
I'd agree to that, except Chang himself was making Yeowoon's life truly miserable and desperate via the debt, he pushed him into corners with only Chang, towering before him. He could have handled the debt very differently, especially if he loved him as an equal partner/person - even while insisting on payment. And yes, he offered him that job at his place, but rather to isolate Yeowoon further and keep him in a corner. It's just a very bad power dynamic, not constructive to any sort of healthy relationship. Change wanted Yeowoon as prey - and stay as such.

Ok in hs, he got his heart broken by someone he was in love with at work. So since then, he had (as he said but not shown) sex friends and etc. I wouldn't say he's antisocial but more like.. He didn't like bothersome things and .. Having friends or something like social interaction was a bother to him. In my opinion, he just had that kind of I cant be bothered personality.
Let's go to his opinion abt hino. A flashy playboy who went to the same hs as him and even now in college. Still the same playboy as before and the only reason why hino talked to him because he pitied him for being alone etc etc as most popular and self proclaimed kind people do. Then one night hino hitted on him.. Like the playboy he was, a girl or a boy would do. And when he found out he was his first guy, it couble be because he was tired of girls now and wanted something new.
So, for needs, he said meh why not. Sex friends. Sure. But that was it, sex friends. He still didnt like social interactions and still had the cant be bothered persona. But little by little he was getting affected by hino. But ofc its hard to remove his persona so... He was still an ass. In the battle between his "not yet known or obvious" affection for hino and his cant be bothered personality, he kept repeating to hino that they were just sex friends. Naturally, this was also because he didnt know hino's feelings and because of his perception of hino being a playboy and etc, he was probs a lil annoyed at how hino was being "nosy" as all playboys or narci were.add to the fact that unconsciously, he didnt want to get hurt again like his past.
Then.. Each day.. He cared more for hino, doing things he usually didnt do (it wasnt really made obvious in the manga, but u can see it. From how he was all alone and etc, he was now talking more to hino and even hanging out with him). Ofc to him this was only because they were sex friends and didnt think much of it.
Now, when he found out abt hino, who he was and that he wasnt really a playboy, he was a virgin, he was his first guy and then at the end he found out hino had been crushing on him for so long.. It all made sense to him. We can see how he didnt like himself which was why in my opinion, he said it was a waste of hino's life pining for him.
But even so, hino showed his resolve and showed him that he truly loved him. This most likely broke a wall that yaku created for himself and others. And it made him realize shortly that he too had feelings for hino, probs not as strong as hino's but they were there. And seeing how faithful and hmm whats the word.. Eager? ... Honest?.. Hmm. Anyway hino's feelings were pure, yaku thought to himself that he should treasure hino properly from now on. This is what he owes him and he will from now on, show hino how much he loves him as well.
I think thats about it for yaku's POV?
I couldnt hate yaku when I think about his perspective. He was this asshole cant be bothered type of guy that was drawn to hino's pure and honest personality and love towards him. Yes hino was suffering and hurt himself by doing all he did for this asshole but he was in love ok. U cant be in love with someone and expect that person will love u and treat u well just because u love him. Also, he had that kind of persona from the start but hino, because of his love for yaku, knew what he was doing and endured the pain. (dont get me wrong, i cried for hino too. Before i knew it, tears were falling down my face and I had to go to the bathroom to cry silently so my family wont see or hear me).
So yeah in short, hino, in a way, spoiled yaku, allowing him to be an ass to him. Just because he loved him that much and was satisfied one way or another even if he was being treated like that by yaku. He probably wouldnt even tell yaku his feelings if it wasnt for asano (author! I feel sorry for him... He wasnt a mean guy, he was just weak and in his own way, didnt want hino to exp what he exp before)

Started out as a cute and fluffy manga where both had ... Things going on and were made complete by each other! A perfect match! One who gave it all and one who needed it all.
Then it became so wholesome!! With how the author gave aeyon and jaerim a closure.. Then to how they found each of their passions together.. Then to the chapter with the kid abt loving oneself as they too had experienced that.. A complete story!! And for dessert... There's the smex scene!! Jaerim yuri smex scene that we were ROBBED in the original story.. Bdsm gosh..
