... tbh I'm disappointed with these last chapters.... ffs I know the author wants to build drama but they did no need to make the Duke go that far... Honestly, I was actually getting invested seeing as the Duke started crushing more on Jace and doing gentle, loving things, and it feels so out of character for him to do such a thing--
Poor, poor, Jace. He deserves to be happy- and he has been nothing but abused throughout the story.
these last chapters would have been so much better if at least one of the mfs just blurted out what they thought the situation was then left angrily- that way the other person could at least get that there's a huge misunderstanding or at least conceptualize that "hey, maybe I'm not portraying my feelings correctly". I just wanted the Duke to blurt out that he was hurt Jace wanted to leave, and mention how much he loves him (romantically).
T-T Or for Jace to mention how he thought he was going to be replaced and his job was temporary-- goddamnit you can add drama and keep building misunderstandings and conflict without writing a r*pe scene... ( ̄へ ̄)

this story is so fucked up (purposefully) and so well-written I don't know what to feel--
It's so beautifully and horribly disturbing, saddening, and confusing. It's painful to see Shii upset, but then your sympathies get all messed up when he forces himself onto Tamaki. Yet all of his emotions are so unbelievably human, and in some cases natural (as morally wrong as it is). Everything about this manga is heartbreaking, heartwrenching, and emotional: I can't wait to see what happens next.
A fascinating read for anyone who wants to delve into the morally grey area of human emotion.
