I will be for real, if micheol didn’t change, i would be rooting for him, tbh I like the old mitcheol better than our ml. Truly such a shame
Thats enough to change a person? Not that much sorry!!!! Not to the point of cheating and completely denying your wife!!! Not only thats wicked but its INHUMAN and unfortunately there are many like that. On other hand i know people who faced real hard times of poverty in their lives and SO MANY bad things happened to them but they only grew closer or didn't change at all. Poverty does play a role but not the main cause.
You can hate a character, not excuse their behaviors, and still understand their circumstances. It's unfair to disregard everything else and judge by your personal standard of how much hardship is "enough" to break someone.
Humanity is a spectrum, and people respond to adversity in deeply personal ways. It's possible that Mincheol might already have inherent flaws—a "rotten core"—but it's also possible that, he struggled to cope with circumstances others might have handled differently. Comparing him to people who stayed 'good' despite hardship oversimplifies human complexity. Everyone's experiences and coping mechanisms are unique!! Empathy doesn't excuse bad actions, but it helps us understand why they happen.
High school Mincheol was a lover. Debt and tragedy happened, and he couldn’t cope. He turned bad. It’s that simple. There's no need to villainize his past self for actions entirely rooted in his present circumstances. The point of the past is to ache for a love lost, not to argue whether someone's pain was "enough" to break them.
I fuck with fucked up characters with depth, i love this story so much!! It wad a very HARD read at the start, but if you were able to read pass 40 chapters, it gets better and better. This is totally not for everyone, but the plot was unique, I love the ending too
