Tbh i don't feel like blaming the brother THAT much I mean He never considered her as a sister, was absent for most of her life and basically walked in the house one morning and found an adult woman Like yeah, it's weird and all, but as far as he's concerned he's not his blood relation or a member of his family. He acted like a good brother to Mielle and I kinda hope he'll get past this weird crush and become a brother to aria too
He might never get past this crush. Also even thought he’s been gone for a while don’t mean he can like his step sister. Like he still knew she was his sister. and in the way he’s doing like you are never going to be with her and yet here he is refusing to let her see other men. He’s taking it to far.
I see where you're coming from, but I personally don't agree. For me, it's more than a weird crush (though that's a big part of it ngl), but also the way he's looked down on her in a dehumanizing/classist way. Take the attraction away and he's still someone who sees himself as 'above' people like her, though of course now he's backtracking because of his attraction.
I do agree that he's clearly looking at her in a " I'm better than you and now what's better for you" way that's just classist. Also the bit where he doesn't want her to see other men sounds like a mix of crush, classism and some brotherly issues (he's fine with Mielle having a fiancée since it's with someone who's rich, but he doesn't know who "pinoua" is and is probably thinking she's going to run off with some poor rando) Also he wasn't away for a while he was like, away for most of the comic?
But it feels more like he's been pushed in a villanous role for the sake of having one since we don't have the traditional villanesse for now
