Please read this. You won’t regret it. I like how the author doesn’t fantasize “slave” status too much. People get bought, sold, and worked to death...I like how the slave master (slave himself) is complacent and satisfied with his own position, never questioning the peculiarities of working without pay. It’s probably how people have acted in those times. Slaves don’t have nice accommodations, and even when they do like MC’s mother, they don’t have freedom.
I wonder if MC is actually master’s biological son. Is that how a master treats his bastard back in those days? It’s really shocking.
The story is written super realistically, especially about the “token” minority part. I’m guessing the author did study abroad just like the characters

What the heck is going with Seth and Horus? Did Seth mistaken Horus with Anubis when they were children? Is Horus somewhat in love with Seth? Why is Osiris obsessed with Seth?

When Horus was a child he searched Seth out of curiosity, he took a knife just in case Seth decided to attack.
When he found Seth, he was drunk and indeed confused Horus with Anubis. Seth told him how much he loves him and that no matter what he will always be his father. Horus was surprised for two reasons: that the so much hatred god of war wasn't really like everyone said to him and the fact that he received love without giving a thing.
That's why he loves his uncle so much and that's how he meet him too.

About Osiris, we still don't have the exact reason about why is he "in love" with him. He doesn't say it. But he would do anything in order to have Seth in his arms.
