Eyes : deeper black (짙은 검은 색; I think 짙은 = thick/rich hue?)
Favorite colors: Red, black, grey, gold
Characteristics: Eyes that seem bad-natured.
Slightly rough bronze* skin, resembling that of a wild horse

In terms of animals, he is a wolf, rather than a dog.

TL Notes
*Direct translation is “copper colored,” but different TL engines also said “bronze.” I went with bronze b/c searching 구릿빛 피부 - particularly on makeup related posts - pulls up pics of tans that resemble light bronze (gold base) over copper (red base).

… which is really interesting, since the designs for the comics differ quite a lot. For example, while Novel Yuseong is brunette, Manhwa Yuseong is blonde.
I have to admit I cracked up a bit while translating. Because you know what this revealed?

The author of “Trapped in a Webnovel,” So Yoohyun, changed the MC’s & ML’s heights to create a height gap.

Yes, really. In Vol 1, Choi Yuseong had a “body 183cm tall” (ch 11). Dojin’s height was never specified, he was only known to be taller. But after releasing Vol 10, ch 26, the author suddenly published an <Author’s Note (작가의 말)> which said: “The appearance profiles of “Choi Yuseong and Kim Dojin are updated with the contents below.” Then he shortened Yuseong down to 179 cm, while setting Dojin’s height as 183 cm.

Also, to those two Mangago users who jokingly called Dojin “an alpha CEO with daddy issues” straight out of werewolf Wattpad… hath Apollo granted thee the gift of prophecy? I’m still in shock at how So Yuhyun (the author himself) described Dojin as “not a dog, but a wolf” who “did not easily miss his prey” (profile, v1c15) & Yuseong as a “blank-eyed puppy”…

… let’s be honest. We all know this is not BL.
But at this rate, the author is treating the line between “no homo” & “yes homo” like it’s a goddamn tightrope-walking competition, and it is magnificent.

Ya all, I have some news for you guys. Admins are turning off comment sections one by one. Hold your tits and be quite, stop messing around and read your manga/hwa/huas . Creators are pointing on this websites especially on comment section so be careful what you are typing out of anger. It is being recorded, at least I have been informed abt that. Cheers

The reason the father became a "violent alcoholic" is that loser-hanger-on father of the ML (it's the mother who is the Duchess and head of the household) was fucking the late Empress and was upset when she got killed. He fell into despair (boooohooo! hope you join that whore soon in hell). Also, the ML father has an inferiority complex that is why he hates anything related to the Kedrey bloodline. He was angry that he felt "trapped" in his marriage with the Duchess as her consort and couldn't be with his lover (the dead empress).

Note the Emperor killed her by using her allergy to nuts as a means. He knew she was cheating on him and had produced a bastard son - Rezef.

That is why he loathes and distrusts Rezef. After she died he pretended that Rezef was his "son" to cover the shame that the Empress had an affair with a married man producing a child. But made sure to present him as an illegitimate son as revenge against the dead Empress.

It's why he doesn't outwardly say although it's clearly implied that he wants anyone but Rezef to be his heir.
Although, he isn't that favorable to Kayena either since she looks exactly like her mother who cheated on him. He has some sympathy for Kayena (very little) but it's obvious the only child he truly cares for Ethel, his son with his mistress. Btw he began that relationship after the Empress died.

Rezef is both the FL's and ML's brother.


The reason the ML's parents are divorcing is because of that affair. I think the Duchess purposely waited until the ML was an adult to proceed with chucking the lowlife husband.


When the father finds out he has another son he smuggly approaches the ML and tells him to help him find his "real son". After an altercation, he curses the ML's family all while he has gladly accepted a title from them as part of the divorce alimony.

Seriously, fuck him and the Empress. I stan the Emperor for killing that wench pity he didn't kill the lover too.

Fun fact: His "real son" will end up killing him when he discovers who his real father is after being manipualted by the Emperor to do so.
