So reading the two recent raw chapters I'm not even remotely surprised that it seems like Doyeon has had a long one-sided love for Daehyung for years now. From what I could tell he realized his sexual orientation as a teen, assumed he could've had a chance with Dae but saw he liked women (older ones at that lmao) and he was brokenhearted. Recent chapter shows that he ended up going down a bad path I guess of alcohol and sleeping around. Anyways the chapter before that it's obvious he wanted to breakup our couple cuz seeing now that Daehyung can date men, especially a young pretty one like Yiyoung (he had that vibe as a teen too), I'm assuming he thought by breaking them up he could now shoot his shot? I love how instead of being horrified at the possibility of losing Daehyung, Yiyoung's reaction was hilarious and quite wholesome. The recent chapter shows that Daehyung now knows and seems like next chapter he'll talk it out with Doyeon. Now look while all of this is funny, the unnecessary drama of bringing an old friend who just wants to be a petty ass cuz he thought now he had a shot, that or feels like if he couldn't have Daehyung so why should Yiyoung, it's disappointing. This new series could've been more about their relationship, how they're holding up in building up Yiyoung's company, maybe move in together etc. I feel like after this season it might end, hope I'm wrong though.
I 100 percent Gree with you about this annoying unnecessary drama, even if he was brokenhearted for years that does not give him the right to breakup a happy couple just so he could have a shot. Also I had the impression this dude is a seme so I wonder if he would have tried and failed to top the director. Even if he had broken them up that would not create magical feelings for this dude. I hope like you said now that the secret is out in the open and Yiyoung and the director are OK, I hope after the director talks to the third wheel that will be the end of his part of the story. Unless he ends up meeting someone else creating a second couple, idk as long as he fucks off and stops creating drama.
You know what, I didn't even think of the idea of Doyeon getting his own guy and being a second couple. I hope that's not the case cuz I genuinely don't want to see anymore of him after he and Daehyung properly talk. I was already annoyed when he was flirting with Yiyoung, but now knowing the truth just makes it even worse, like boy bye. If we are forced a second couple, I'd rather Secretary Cha come back with a new girlfriend instead lol
I doubt that there will be him as a second couple, i mean to have feelings for years it would be unrealistic, unless it just shows that he meets someone and that let's us know they will be a couple but that isn't actually in the story anymore I'd be fine with that. Either way I just want him gone for good, our actual couple do still have to talk about some things and that's all I care about
I don't care about him and it doesn't make me mad that his character was introduced to bring drama. Because it wasn't the 'OM' obstacle that ever was going to be a problem between our couple, but their age gap. And that doesn't have to be a problem, but for this couple, it brought up some revelations and some teeny angsty moments. I think that was good. I did NOT like Director Kang going all yaoi rough s*x because he's mad jealous tho. Even if Yiyoung liked it, which is great, he's so funny, but it wasn't really intended as some mutual agreement of rough s*x. It's just a trope that don't think fits with these characters.
At least he knows for being an ass for ignoring his bf who just lost a loved one like wtf. Also I saw the recent raws, and Jeongwon does NOT like that Yuna chick, he was pissed she kept going after him. His reaction was similar to the way he reacted to Inhwee's shitty sister trying to flirt with him, but of course the boy walks away BEFORE he can see Jeongwon out right reject her smh.
I know the author was sick (is this an original manhwa or based on a novel?), so it makes sense after coming back from a long hiatus that she wanted to finish it. But I low-key wish MC had suffered just a tiny bit longer lol. Boy was stressing me out by keeping his mouth shut about the obvious smh. I do hope we get a few side stories to at least see them genuinely enjoying their relationship.
