I've already read spoilers, but even so I already disliked him from the beginning. His design is cool and I like his role and interventions, too. But I just can't deal with his sexual harassment, especially when our MC has made it clear how much she dislikes it...
You know, I don't usually get triggered by stuff like that, I've read far too much content with SA and the like (because it's everywhere, really). But for some reason it just really triggered me here ╥﹏╥ MC doesn't deserve that...
Although I didn't mind their interaction much in eps. 25-26, but the episode when they're doing the 'interview' over dinner REALLY triggered me as badly as MC... she's the only character I like here tbh (and maybe even Libby, who seems sincere enough)

Fortunately or unfortunately, I read this when I was around 16 years old (a decade ago wow). Maybe it's because I hadn't read much and I was young... I loved this. Haha! Because of nostalgia, I come back every once in a while, too ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~
But it's definitely problematic, and I can see why many don't like it (especially if you're an avid reader). Nonetheless, it's a product of its time!

WE WERE ROBBED!
I started reading the novel because I'm genuinely invested in the plot and world-building here, and I figured that they'd cut out a lot of details (as usual) since it's just an adaptation. Plus, the manhwa sometimes feels very choppy and has many plot holes. I figured they wanted to focus on their relationship to market it as a romance...
BUT THEY ALSO CUT SO MUCH OF WHAT HAPPENS BETWEEN THEM! In here, their fight was the turning point in their relationship, but THE TENSION BEFORE THEY EVEN GET THERE IS SO GOOD IN THE NOVEL! You can clearly see the buildup and how it explodes during their fight, especially Erya's feelings and how much anger and resentment he feels toward Yanu. Yanu's sudden interest after their fight doesn't feel abrupt.
I still like the manhwa because I love the art, but it could have been even better if they had followed the novel as it is... It's not even that long (╯°Д °)╯╧╧

Hey! This is hard to judge if you're triggered by any sort of non-consensual behavior. I'd suggest skipping any smut content since there isn't a lot of it.
I actually put it off for a long time because of the tags, I only decided to read it after reading the manhwa. While there is definitely dub-con, I don't agree that it goes as far as to classify it as r*pe or SA. Both in the manhwa and novel, Eyra often says "wait" or "hold on" and the like, but you've seen how he is... basically, he's pretty much okay with anything Yanu does to him. I do think they toned it down for the manhwa a LOT.
The reason I say it's dubcon is because Yanu does stuff to Erya while he's asleep/too exhausted to really engage in that... if you know what I mean. But when Erya wakes up, he often says, "Well, I enjoy it too," or "As my partner, he is allowed that much". I think it's very in-character for both of them.

I'm also here, crying again at 3 AM, over two fictional characters. It has been a long time since I've read anything of this calibre, from wanting Annette to free herself in the beginning, and wishing Heiner nothing but despair... to genuinely wishing for the best for both of them. Together or not, they've suffered too much. They've had to deal with too much pain, and they deserve a chance at happiness. Yes, I still blame Heiner for Annette's misery... because, in the end, he's the one who placed expectations on her, put her on a pedestal, and then condemned her for his suffering. I like how she acknowledges that her happiness was a lie because it was built on sorrow, but I also don't blame her for Heiner's shallow understanding of her.
Honestly... I wish Annette had tried understanding him at least once during their 'happy' years together. I can't blame Heiner for falling into despair and forcing himself to believe everything is an illusion and that Annette's love for him couldn't be real, but I also can't blame Annette for not wanting to know him deeply, afraid of the consequences of knowing...
Would they have found true happiness? Who knows, but all I can say is that I genuinely wish for them to be happy, together or not. It looks like they'll end together and... I don't mind that at all. Sorry if this doesn't make much sense, it's 3 AM and there are too many feelings at the moment... I don't think I explained very well everything I wanted to say but I hope it resonates with someone else.

Although we knew he'd reach rank 1... I wish they had taken the time to develop the rankers a bit more. At least, rankers 10 to 1 should have been stronger or have more memorable personalities/skills. His fight with Count Nicholas did not feel special or different from other fights at all so it was rather underwhelming ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
This being said, I can't wait for him to reorganize the country. All of these factions are really annoying (⌒▽⌒)

I didn't want him to struggle, you're twisting my words. I said I expected the side characters to at least have more personality or weight to them, not to be mere expendables considering they're supposed to be the strongest out of an entire NATION ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ if these were the supposed "strongest", Cairo should have fallen LONG ago to other nations, honestly...
Didn't he retain his curse form in the end, hence he's not white nor blonde??? Why are ppl complaining?
His dazzling golden blonde hair and white skin were his original human form but he was unable to go back to it, unless he uses the charm he had (which I believe he can't use for long anyway). So, he remained with dark skin and hair but kept his golden eyes.
