Quite literally everyone, especially MC's brother, have done everything in their power to belittle MC and make things worse for MC and ML. I'm on chapter 32-33 and Sunwoo had finally figured out that maybe ML wants to stay together with him and them raising the baby together... but then brother goes onto say how he's stupid to even think that's a possibility and blah blah blah.
It's infuriating, why the heck are you treating someone you supposedly love that way? Also, you're doing him sooooo badly. MC isn't the brightest and I know it's ML's fault for never being clear, but the characters around MC don't help just make things worse.
All of my frustration is literally everyone but MC, so that says a lot. ML's brother? Really the only character I can forgive (the one giving good advice).

Yeah, I know this is all because of ML in the first place. But at the same time everyone here LOVES assuming things rather than just saying "you know what? Idk, talk to him" pretty much what ML's brother IS doing. Their phrasing just isn't it, and they trynna pass this for comedy? It's just infuriating to me lol.
At least bro is gone for now (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜

I am TRYING to be a bigger person and understand that it's been 7 years for both of them and that both are victims of their father. I would really want ML to at least have a good relationship with his brother and mother...
But NOPE lol, I still dislike the brother greatly because he didn't really face any consequences. I understand he is actively trying to better his relationship with ML and that he's apologized many times in the past. I also appreciate that the brother never really pushes ML to meet, seeing as how ML hasn't seen his SIL in all this time nor ever met his niece.
BUT part of the reason why he apologized started from their mother telling him how much he wronged his little brother and his own guilt once he actually fell in love with the girl. I don't think he genuinely apologized the first time, more like he realized ML cut off his family because of his father and him (the brother). He realized he had messed up their family more than it already was. And he probably felt guilty toward his mother.
And what's that "your sister-in-law misses you"? I know the girl probably really likes ML as a person (as a little brother) but that felt like... he was trying to guilt-trip him somehow. Idk why, I can't explain it, but it felt slimy. I hope ML keeps maintaining his distance from them (I only feel sorry for the mom tbh).
And I won't talk about Doha here because this would get too long. But I didn't really like him this episode either ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

This is why I lowkey disliked Doha this episode and when he asked ML to meet his family. ML was pretty vocal about disliking his family and not wanting to meet them, but he insisted. Not only did he insist, he also used the "well they're your family and I'll meet them eventually anyway" which is TRUE... but also completely disregarded ML's feelings...
He has a right to meet them I guess and his thoughts are also valid. It's a complex situation and I'm petty so LOL

How far along are we in comparison to the novel...? I want to know more or less until when the blonde jerk will realize he's been brainwashed too. I need to see him crash out fr (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜

A monster? Damn but I guess makes sense considering his personality + the effect of the magic.
Although I don't blame them 100% since they were indeed brainwashed, I think someone mentioned that the magic doesn't make them hate FL or anything like that. It was more along the lines of amplifying certain emotions (their "love" for the other) but they're still 'themselves' to a certain extent. I think what they meant is that, magic aside, they're jerks... they were just extra nice to FL in the past but their personalities really aren't that good.
I don't know because I haven't read it myself so I'll keep reading here, maybe I'm completely wrong and they aren't that bad?

Sorry I crashed out and cried for a couple of hours, then remembered I didn't say anything about Jinhyeong's dad--THAT PIECE OF TRASH.
Despite everything, Jinhyeong tried believing in him AGAIN. To give him a SECOND CHANCE. He went all "you're my only son, I'll do everything for you" then turned his back on him the minute he stopped being the 'perfect' doll he wanted. He betrayed and rejected him during his WORSE period. He never tried understanding why his SON was borderline suicidal, heavily depressed, and unwilling to interact with anyone outside of his home.
He doesn't deserve to be a father. I'm glad Jinheyong cut him off eventually. This was the only way he was truly able to start healing. I know we'll probably see his parents in the future at some point, but I'm sure he'll be able to face them at that time.

They were so young. They hurt themselves and hurt each other in the process. But they're also working hard, albeit separately, to better themselves so they can face each other in the future. I wish nothing but the best for them, and I'm sure that that promised cup of coffee isn't that far away.
I also love how Jinhyeong still very much cherishes the photos they took together and remembers him once in a while. They permeated each other's lives. Him being able to share all of this with Uyun also means that he's healing, so I'm also happy about that! Can't wait for more.

Been digging around to see why it was cancelled or if it was cancelled at all. I haven't been able to find anything substantial.
1. Do we know the reason why it was dropped? I understand we had a little less than a hundred chapters to finish, according to the novel.
2. Are spoilers about Yuseong and Dojin true? I've been seeing this everywhere but there's also barely anyone who have finished the novel... although I also want them together, it just doesn't feel like the author would do that considering the type of audience they initially had.
This had been ongoing for YEARS. Makes no sense to suddenly drop it like that... either something happened with the original studio or...

I might be reading this wrong, and I also can't help but agree with everyone who says it's definitely Stockholm syndrome, but there's something about MC's eyes when he looks straight at ML whenever he's expressionless. ML calls it "being pretty," but it is also when MC is coldly analyzing ML and reevaluating his own situation.
If we weren't privy to his thoughts, I'd think it's just a case of Stockholm syndrome, sure, but I don't think that's the case. Not entirely, at least.
I'm not sure where it'll go from here. But it feels like, although MC is STILL attracted to Kangwoo, he is also sober. He also understands he has no choice at the moment but to follow this lunatic's logic if he wants to survive. At the same time, I can't shake this feeling that MC won't just stay put forever. If anyone has spoilers, they're more than welcome! Lol.

I agree with you on that the MC is not completely broken to the point he thinks he’s in love or that the ML is in love with him, all the way through the end he knows he just can’t escape from his situation, every time he tried to call it love or lovers he couldn’t even in the end he couldn’t, he’s aware is an abusive relationship, but he also admits that leaving this person is scarier bc we know that person will drag him to hell if he tries or even say something about leaving, right from the start he never had choice, even if asked the ML not leave him we know is bc feels like there’s no place for him to start anew!
The author just gave him a shitty situation with loan sharks looking for and the ML being an obsessive jerk but at least with the jerk he can somehow please it by playing along that ML. Is just a shitty situation, but I don’t think he’s still attracted to him but rather bc of the hot and cold attitude the ML has towards him is difficult for him to fully hate him or want him out he’s life completely and he also knows how dependent he has become of him due to the ML conditioning!

Yes to everything! I believe it is not love nor affection, it's choosing the lesser evil according to his current circumstances. Perhaps it IS affection, albeit a twisted kind. What I do enjoy is knowing MC KNOWS how abusive and twisted the whole situation is, and that ML is delusional for even considering what they have as a 'loving' relationship (as in, of romantic nature). That's also why I really want to see if MC will do anything at all, even if it takes a LOT of time, to get himself out of that situation... or if he chooses to stay and manipulate ML so he has the upper hand instead. We'll see! ლ(´ڡ`ლ)

I tend to avoid stories whose sole plot revolves around a lack of communication, particularly when characters have always been into each other but don't get together for YEARS because they're dumb like that. I thought this one would be fine because it's cute and I love the art style. I had also heard ML was the obsessive/possessive type.
But they reeeeeally get on my nerves :) especially in chapter 34, when the MC says, "The answer had always been in front of us, how silly we are." My, a good slap to both of you is due!!!
This said, it is my fault since I KNOW how I feel about this kind of story and I still decided to read it. It is actually a nice story, I like the characters for the most part, and I really love the art style. I just needed to vent my frustrations, if you enjoy them going in circles without ever communicating until waaaaay into the story... then this is for you!
That was very unnecessary. MC could have simply said idk and move on, instead of talking about someone else's business (that ML didn't agree to) and denying ML the opportunity for his friends to simply get used to the fact that he's gay (since he decided to come out to them). It's as bad as if MC had outed ML as gay when ML wasn't ready for it. There was 0 need to bring an imaginary girl into this.
No, MC didn't need to come out to them at all. If he isn't ready, that's alright, and I'm sure ML understands that. But it's an entirely different topic whatever the heck he did because he panicked. No matter how 'realistic' some ppl claim it to be, this was a BAD move by the author. All they did was regress MC's development and for us to feel even more annoyed with him (sorry, I am from the team that finds MC hella annoying since they started dating lol).
I would have liked them to at least have a conversation afterwards, maybe next chapter we will. But that left a bad taste in my mouth, I'll let this be for a while ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~
In My Closet handled this better at least.
I LOVED In My Closet! It was such a refreshing series back when it first came out. Can't compare this at all.
