Honestly though, I just really don't like Dong Hyuk. I feel bad for him but I don't trust him. At least Yule is consistent in his unstableness.

I don't think you can entirely blame it on Yule. I don't want to defend Yule. He's... yeah. But I just don't think Dong Hyuk is as great as a lot of people make him out to be.
Yule is the instigator, he caused what happened to Dong Hyuk, and that's shitty, but frankly I believe there was an element of free will in how Dong Hyuk responded to that and he chose to go on a downwards spiral. Rebounding all over the place.
It's hard thing to do when you're hurt, I'll admit, but there are multiple times that he could of responded in a healthy way. And he didn't. He hasn't really handled anything well. And I believe that's because he was always a bit unstable even before he got involved with Yule.
It's like the diathesis–stress model a little I guess. Yes you could say it's Yule's fault for triggering Dong Hyuk's break down but for him to trigger something there already had to be a potential to be triggered... If you get what I mean... Just research the diathesis–stress model and replace genetics with instability I guess.
I feel like I'm moving away from my point a bit.
I guess what I'm trying to say is, I can predict Yule's behaviour. We know enough about him to guess what he's about to do next. Kyung Soo, most importantly, is prepared that Yule is gonna do shitty things cus he's a pretty shitty person with empathy and attachment issues.
On the other hand I always felt that Dong Hyuk was a time bomb and that Kyung Soo didn't recognise that as he's fixated on who he knew Dong Hyuk was before. Just like he failed to recognise Yule's many warning signs in the beginning of their relationship. When Dong Hyuk does shitty things, like raping him or holding a knife to his throat, Kyung Soo is not prepared. I also don't feel like I, as a reader, know enough about the new Dong Hyuk to predict his behaviour, I honestly thought he'd go on a Yule stabbing spree, a 'you and me, after school by the bike shed, be there or be square' kind of thing. I didn't expect something this calculating from him. As a control freak who is suspicious of everyone - that unsettles me! That's a dangerous character for me! Though the creator might think differently about it from me and not go down the same route I would if I had a character like Dong Hyuk. She might go 'oh but he was just bluffing, he was nice all along' to romanticise it or something. I don't really know.
And Yule and Dong Hyuk are different in another sense. Yule doesn't really see what he does as right or wrong. He does it because he can. Dong Hyuk sees what he does as the right thing to do or the best course of action. The ends justify the means. That just puts me on edge more. Yule is like a child, Dong Hyuk is... I don't know what. A broken man? Desperate? In need of a holiday?
I feel like... the lengths they're willing to go are different? Not sure how to explain it. I would just prefer to deal with the child. That's all.

On the other hand, fucked up DH thinks he's liberating KyungSoo from bondage (which death in a way is a liberation from the insane life Yule wants to trap KS into, continuous fucktoy slave shut-in is hardly paradise). I'd rather be dead than be soemone's trapped, tortured fucktoy. But I"d rather kill my torturer than die. :D

Fair point, I forgot about that. I do think he's very childlike on how he goes about things though, like I don't think he did think about if it was wrong before realising he had to act like he was sorry to win back Kyung Soo. At times he's genuinely confused about why Kyung Soo hasn't forgiven him yet. Like he doesn't understand how real relationships actually work. And he only clocks that the behaviour is wrong because society says its wrong, not because he thinks it's wrong. It's just my personal feeling, I don't know how to explain it. He's just childlike to me at times.
Yeah... if it was me.. I wouldn't want to deal with people who think they're liberating me. I think it's a bit entitled to think you have the right to do something like that.
I'd rather make the decision to take my own life rather than have someone I trusted force it onto me, especially if they're doing what they think is best for me.
But then again, I will admit I have trust issues so this could be playing into it.
( ̄∇ ̄")
And honestly it felt like Kyung Soo was a bit of a 'fucktoy slave shut-in' with Dong Hyuk as well. If my significant other came back from being kidnapped, abused, raped, etc, the last thing I'd want to do is to constantly pressure them into having sex with me. Especially if they continually look like they're not fucking enjoying it. Just doesn't seem right to me. It was like he didn't care how Kyung Soo was as long as he possessed his body.
I think Kyung Soo is just better off without both of them if ya ask me ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

Dong Hyuk still constantly pressured him into sex though.
Yeah, poor guy, he's probably just got soooo many issues now. I just wanna hug him.
Hopefully assertiveness will come with a more relaxed life and some self confidence. I support the dog idea people are suggesting, you can't go wrong with a puppy ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Did the manwha ever mention where is family is? Be nice if he had some distant aunty in Europe he could stay with.

I feel bad both of them encountered that demon-spawn. Can you imagine the sort of guilt you have to live with that your bf sacrificed himself to a rape to save YOU from a gang-rape? I mean, then you see this nice kid you like turned into a mind-broken sex slave for a demented rapist.
Seriously, not surprised he's nuts. Not at all. Yule does that to people. He admitted it and it's true: he breaks things.
Huh...
I certainly didn't expect to see something like this today.
