Honestly though, Yul and Sian could’ve probably maintained a healthy relationship had they just talked to each other. There was a heavy lack of communication between them, which only created more problems and tension between them (ex, Yul feeling like he’s burdening her and being left behind while Sian feels overwhelmed and over-dependent on him). This isn’t justifying anything Yul has done, because all (or at least most) of his actions passed multiple boundaries and legal laws, but there was a sliver of hope that they could have saved their relationship way back when. They lost that when they both decided to silently suffer and wallow in their own anguish and paranoia.
