He is utterly intolerable, if this was any other webtoon, fangirls would be simping over his obsessive behavior (I wouldn't be any different tbh).
The fact that he makes me want to vomit says A LOT for the quality of this story. The portrayal is no joke... trash men will always be trash even if they are "good looking".
About the "promotion" and the redirecting... Apparently, the group in question (Imperfect Comic Scans) are NOT the ones uploading the chapters.
It seems that someone else cut the chapters off, and uploaded them here. For what purpose? I don't know either.
But whoever it is, please stop. You're making it worse for the scanlating group as well. They're receiving hostility for no reason.
I think it's probably a new member of the group or a fan of the original work who really wants the group/work to be popular.
I used to mod a couple fansites back in the day (literally writing this makes me feel old) and when the original work starts gaining in popularity, then the new fans come in who sometimes can't understand the line between fans and authors. The kind that would harass the authors and/or the actors who played the roles in the adaptations. I felt pretty much all of my old fandoms because of that.
But it still feels bad when someone who doesn't get the boundaries (like this uploader here) who pull shit like this and bring the hammer down on the whole group who just want to have fun with fellow fans.
What they don't understand is that most of the fansites/scan groups etc work on the border of not-exactly-legal (we are stealing their content/intellectual property, but we don't make money from it so not exactly a crime), being brought into spotlight is the most dangerous, because that can make u open to scrutiny.
Taylor Swift, for eg, was pretty known back then (idk now, it's been ages since I checked on her) for suing anyone who made anything that could even remotely be confused with official merch. JKR was(is?) also famously known for hating on the fanfic writers who wrote HP fanfics.
There are probably other examples, but these are the ones I know because I used to be a part of those fandoms.
At this point I'm hoping she really doesn't end up with him... his... obsession... is too much, it's unhealthy (but makes sense because that's how he was originally described). At first I really thought it was comedic but it's getting a bit irritating now.
Unless, that is, he learns to tone it down. Which I hardly believe would actually happen... maybe I'm being too pessimistic??? (⊙…⊙ )
I know he was already in a sh*tty mood, but really? Did he REALLY had to say it like that?
What an insensitive asshat. I almost forgot that he has just BARELY started to pay attention to Violet.
Yeah, I know they can't conceive a child, but Violet doesn't know that. Vinter didn't say anything about it, now he is getting mad at Violet while the accused herself has zero clue why.
I know it is all a scheme by Vinter's "parents" and the sh*tty doctor made it worse, but it still pisses me off that Vinter really had to put it that way.
I kinda understand though, from all ml of stories like this Vinter is very human to me.
What people see as being a jerk i see it as overprotective to self as result of trauma, what make it worst is that both of them doesn't have the right communication skill
╥﹏╥
And yeah, fuck the doc and Vinter's "parents"
What? Why are some of you pointing your fingers at Aisha?
"She should have explained herself!", do you hear yourself right now? As if it was that easy. Remember when she was desperately trying to tell Hades about how the priest roughly grabbed her wrist and how it could have LITERALLY killed her? What was his reaction back then? Oh yea, "So what about it?"
What should she say? If she wants to explain why Abella is screwing her over, she is going to have to reveal a lot of things --- so much to the point that she might even have to reveal that she was reincarnated/transmigrated and that their world is inside a novel.
Even then. Sit down for a moment and consider this: if you were Hades, would you so easily believe what Aisha would be saying? No you won't. Even if Hades truly cared/loved Aisha, he is not DUMB enough to just accept such an outlandish explanation. Especially when you are still not in the right state of mind, he is still shocked from what he saw.
TO BE HONEST, THIS IS ABELLA'S FAULT FOR TRYING TO TAKE OVER ANOTHER PERSON'S LIFE. The dead should stay dead, honey.
Surprisingly, I don't really find myself hating Helena. She has her own circumstances and set of goals, and... much like Eris, she's also trying to survive. She's well aware of what's happening around her, where she stands. Most of the time, Helena just chooses to feign ignorance to avoid conflict as much as possible. But that act is poison to Eris.
It just so happened that they are two entirely different people who will always clash. From Eris' perspective, Helena is just that type of person whom she can NEVER agree with.
If you think about it, Helena never really did something that outright provoked Eris. The real piece of trash here is the prince, and to be honest, the royal family as well.
Honestly Helena isn't a bad villain, she is stuck in a shitty position because of those annoying men. I used to be pissed at her before and usually, when I hear the circumstances of individuals they tend not to be good/worthy of excusing the ways in which they played a role in the story.
But this is one of those cases where the circumstances explain why.
Right, I thought she is one of those antagonists who acts innocently but is secretly abusing the favor of others. But she isn't.
Ever since people knew that she is receiving special treatment despite being of low status, her reputation was ruined. Even if she tries to reject their advances, it doesn't stop the harassment from others. So the "safer" course of action is to be obedient.
Of course, this isn't necessarily the "right" choice because this will hurt Eris, but what else can she do anyway? Helena is smart enough to know that blind righteousness won't save anyone.
This complexity in her character is what mainly prevents me from... hating her. Of course, I side with Eris, so I just find the whole Helena situation frustrating and unfortunate.
It's rare to read a webtoon, much less a romantic drama with a female mc, with a story that is REALLY decently paced.
There were little to no unnecessary characters or scenes. The main leads all had their designs fleshed out... while their personality generally remained consistent, there is still a significant amount of character development that added depth to their design.
As for the ending, it was nice. The journey was by no means smooth-sailing, and there were a lot of bittersweet moments --- but all in all, it was a befitting conclusion.
Hoping to see more works from this author!
Really, there's nothing particularly going on, the mc has a very vague goal moving forward -- but it's like I'm always expecting him to go above and beyond, whatever it is. It's all so entertaining and wholesome to follow.
This is a narrative following someone who is re-discovering himself after dying without any social life. It's been a while since I binged a slice of life story.
