Could someone explain all the japanese terms to me? I only know a handful and I'm too lazy to look it up...
Shounen is literally translated as "young boy" so they are content that involve action and adventure (tho obvi gurls also enjoy it)
Shoujo is for young girls. The content is directed to young girls- it is not necessarily romance though.
Umm..and what arr the others
Yaoi is BL- with explicit content.
Shounen ai is BL without mature content
Yuri is GL with mature content
And shoujo ai is GL without explicit content
Ecchi is (idk how to translate it) but in involves sexualising women (kinda?) Like gigantic boobs and butts lol. Sorry im bad at this.
Doujinshi is fan fiction. Based off licenced manga or anime
Harem is where there are many love interests for the MC, mostly in these type of stories the MC never officially ends up with one.
Reverse Harem is where the MC is a girl and has many guy love interests
Gender Bender is when the gender is switched, from girl to boy or vice versa, it involves cross dressing or fantasy phenomenon where they either swap souls with another gender or they themselves turn into the opposite gender.
I think thats all japanese? Ah and Slice of Life is as the name implies.
I forgot to add.
Josei- content is directed at older women unlike shoujo. It is straight content (boy x girl) but with mature content.
Seinen- it is shounen that has more gore, horror and brutality than shounen
Bara- involves large men (with big chests and muscles and all that)
Shota con- involves romance or implied romance with younger boys (like they aren't teens yet)
Lolicon- same as shotacon but this is with younger girls
I'm on chapter 6 and I don't understand whats going on...???
In the very beginning it's just an old interview of the two. Then right after that it starts a recap of the night before. The art style seems to have changed so much haha but tell me what your confused with and I'll help(๑•ㅂ•)و✧
Well uhh, everything, I understand up to the point when he freaks out over kidding Juno, then he's suddenly in the past (and fairly calm about it), but despite being in the past Juno is still his new roommate?
Is it worth to read?
