when your story has rape in it but you have to downplay it by having the MC say maybe it was consensual lmao
I think that mindset is what makes this even worse. Bc it makes us unconsciously put the blame of rape onto the victim. This is the same thing as saying "but you liked it/she liked it". Just because there is a physical reaction to something doesn't mean that it was consensual. Esp in this instance (abo), where the mc was particularly vulnerable bc he didn't know that this could even happen, and he was particularly in a state of confusion (he didn't even know he was an omega).
Esp bc this is so understated in abo manga, i feel we overlook it, but I think we have a responsibility to call it out, as it can lead ppl to think in the way of your comment, especially younger audiences! (Sorry for how long this got )
Humans (everyone in this thread) trying to justify fictional encounters between Alphas (fictional) and Omegas (fictional) by pretending to be some mystic empath who can fully understand the “urges” (fictional) of these ENTIRELY UNREAL PEOPLE IN A STORY truly need to sit down in class for a bit longer.
This is not material that should be consumed by people your age who can only parrot what they see online instead of learning in HS freshman literature (or sooner in a better school) to differentiate fiction from reality.
You’ll catch on one day~ *headpats*
if we be real pretty art is what carried this manga
I personally liked the take on the shifting and how freaking infatuated Grant was
Hati was kind of meh but it's alright, he got purple eyes that makes big bad wolves blush and run to the rose field pff (≧▽≦)
Another smart move is the hunting system, the writer really flushed that one out in an interesting way
never has an author been able to keep things so sexy
