However, the fact is rape exists in the wild. We distinguish rape from other sex acts in the wild. As these are acts where an animal attempts to escape from the other animal that is trying to have sex with it. Scientists have long noted that female ducks have, likely due to the prevalence of rape by male ducks, evolved more complex genitals to thwart male penetration/forced insemination. If nonconsensual sex is a thing in the animal world, then we must accept to some degree there is a concept of sex.
Also. Once again. Why are we drawing the line HERE. Why is "hey we shouldn't romanticize rape" the line that things MUST be drawn at - and that the mass humanization of animals throughout the story by depicting them as humans, having interspecies love relationship, experiencing long term partnerships and monogamy outside of the species it actually occurs in is all totally okay and does not count towards humanizing animals?
The ethics of meat consumption and eating other animals is also a theme, though much lighter than the overall themes of sex and romance, throughout the story. Predators that are depicted as eating other animals or hurting other animals are depicted in a negative light when they do so. The SECOND CHAPTER depicts the protagonist losing control, trying to eat the musk deer, and regretting it/feeling ashamed of it.
The animals in this story are constantly depicted as feeling human emotions, living to human standards, and behaving as.. well... for the most part, humans with a wild side. Which you say is okay "for the sake of yaoi". But when someone says "hey it's not ok that it romanticizes rape/the fact everyone in the comments is going uwu the rapist is so cute uwu/its depicting the rape victim as falling in love with the rapist (which, btw, is completely unrealistic as well, in multiple respects)" THAT'S where the line is drawn on humanized animal behavior?

If you don’t get what he’s saying here: Chung’s comment made the top feel more aggressive and want to be rough with Chung. As in, the whole, reclaiming property sort of shit. Chung was raped by his brother and he has the urge to be aggressive and take back what Chung ‘gave’ to his brother - implying he has to
fight back the urge when Chung makes that comment.
It makes it sound like he does not see Chung as a person, but his property. Which is really gross.
Also, this isn’t the first instance of the top viewing Chung as his property. In chapters 20-21 Chung attempts to reject the top, and the top becomes angry, tells him he doesn’t have a choice/he doesn’t get a say, and. Well. Rapes him. There’s no other way around it. The top forced Chung to have sex with him because he was angry that Chung tried to turn him down.
I’m guessing the author isn’t going to address that the top has literally viewed Chung as his property and not as an individual on more than one occasion, since that’s unfortunately common in these stories.
But in the first place the serpent thing that chung his bird in cage of him... So i think its normal that he think that chung is his property and the property that no one can lay hand of his....

Bcus I cannot read Korean this is mostly based on visuals and a little usage of Capture2Text in the last couple chapters.
White is a eunuch. We are shown in an early chapter that he was molested/raped as a young child. Red discovers White masturbating and is like, sexually interested in him? And starts doing... dubiously consensual things at best, rape at worst. White is very submissive and passive. He has a crush on Blue, because Blue is very kind to him.
One night, White is attacked and assaulted by a rapist. Mid-rape, Blue discovers this and kicks RapistGuy off of White, rescuing White. Cue extreme trauma 1.
Shortly after, Red is sexually harassing White, as he does, and finds the bite mark on White. I believe he thinks White had sex with Blue, so he gets jealous and rapes White. White is shown traumatized while Blue is frantically looking for him and cannot find him. Cue extreme trauma 2. Blue is also in love with White at this point.
RapistGuy uses a kid to trick White into getting kidnapped by him. RapistGuy holds White captive and brutally rapes him. Red and Blue have realized White is missing, and Red has gone and thrown himself into danger, being nearly killed by RapistGuy's men/friends. This is where we are introduced to Yellow, who is a mercenary? Maybe? Who saves White. Red is injured and is found later. Cue extreme trauma 3. White is shown being severely averse to touch, flinching at anyone who lifts a hand near him. Yellow is also in love with White.
Some development/character setting stuff happens. Blue murders RapistGuy and is hiding the fact he did. I think it's implied White knows he did? But I think the other people think Red did it? Anyways, bcus of... all that, Yellow takes White along with him. White and Yellow bond and have sex and Yellow is very caring and considerate of White's trauma. Red escapes his palace? Castle? Home? to find them and almost gets killed by Yellow's men before they're like "its you? bro come on." and they like let him tag along. Red is hard in love w White and is really jealous of Yellow and White, which is not lost on Yellow.
Yellow's wife? Lover? died in a fire and his? men held him back from trying to save her and also dying (in a burning building). White reminds him a lot of her.
More stuff, we see Blue is losing his mind.
White and Red go to a village and there's an old man who keeps following them. Red goes to do something and White ends up following the old man to help him or w/e. Then Yellow shows up and him and Red are like "oh fuck White is missing".
Turns out, Blue has shown up and kidnapped White. He has him tied up in a building, and White is very calm/morose about the whole thing. Blue is now a yandere, and rapes White. After he rapes White there's some more dialogue and Blue does the whole "if you can't have me no one can!" and force feeds him some kind of snake venom thing.
Yellow and Red find him shortly later, and Blue is nowhere to be seen. White coughs up a bunch of blood and he's like catatonic. He's like, on the verge of death, and then Yellow's men are able to find a snake to make an antivenom. Yellow is struggling to force it down White's throat so Red like drinks the whole thing to kiss White and give it to him that way and almost dies.
White wakes up! Yay! Everyone is happy. Except it turns out he's blind now. There's some plant? Bean plant? That can give him his vision back, so Yellow is off to do that while Red is taking care of White and they bond. Also I think Blue has taken the throne in Red's absense.
And that's basically everything!
Lastly: prev. reply is basically a summary of everything in the story thus far. I can't read Korean so I might be very wrong about some things and am definitely missing a lot of info. This is for people who are curious about the specifics of the story but are unsure of what they are getting into/scared of reading the actual content/don't wanna bother with reading raws.
