I don’t even think he wants to apologise that much. The first few chapters is just him getting the opportunity to have a conversation with Pado but never doing it and instead approaching Pado as if nothing ever happened. The chapter where he’s holding the umbrella could have been his perfect chance to propose a conversation but he spent that time acting like it’s all good. It’s annoying when they do this.
