Everyone keeps saying that the author includes rape in every story and that's why this is trash but let's be honest, having rape in a story has never stopped a yaoi from being popular.(looking at you, Jinx) Thing is, even if you try to ignore that part, the story is still ass. The plot is a mess, the characters aren't even 1 dimensional, they have no dimension(how?), there's a backstory that's crucial to the characters' relationship yet we barely know anything about it. The entire plot revolves around 1 misunderstanding and yet when it finally resolves itself it's extremely anticlimactic. The victim blaming goes crazy too btw. Anyways, props to the translator for translating the whole thing(all alone too) cuz I would've given up in page 1.
Sure, I don't want her dad to be the ml and would be very happy if the story changes, but I can't help but wonder who else would be a better ml? Maybe the duke but I genuinely hate him. Then again, I think I hate every single male character in this story. Miss gurl needs to ditch all of them and live a merry life far away. And keep hanging out with that princess too. That'd be good too.
Watching maki cry made me so sad I'm happy yuusuke's finally ending everything with haruki properly but damn,I hope he apologises to maki for leaving her like that. I get where haruki's coming from with the whole 'finding your value from how others view you' thing but I don't think I can fully forgive her for the stuff she said to maki and also yk, manipulating yuusuke and stuff.
anyways,,,,looks like a new arc's gonna start from the next chapter(which will probably be yuusuke trying to woo maki and maki misinterpreting his and haruki's meet) so I'm excited for that(ノ^_^)ノ
Re-read the story and I don't really know how I feel(*_*) don't get me wrong, I'm glad they got their happy ending but it feels like the story deserved more angst or maybe even a sad ending,yk? Like, hisato (was that the seme's name?) ends up finding the person that's supposed to be his 'heart'. Starts a relationship with them but inevitably realises that he can't love them like he loved shuri and maybe he even ends up regretting it but what's done is done and he'll have to live this unfulfilling life where he supposed to be living with his true love but he can't love them and shuri watching from the sidelines as he realises that he has to watch the love of his life die a sad life with someone he doesn't even want. Does that make sense?idk
But the last 2 chapters(52&53) left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth tbh( ̄ヘ ̄;) I feel like the entire time I kept expecting a "I'm sorry" from Fushimi and I didn't get it. Don't get me wrong, the proposal was cute and all but idk, just sorta felt like Riku deserved an apology. This isn't gonna take away my enjoyment from the story at all and I'm probably being a bit too nitpicky but idk, apologize for your mistakes or whatever folks
