I think so, that's what was hinted pretty heavily. What I don't understand is why her brother is even bringing all this up and what he wants to achieve by that.
1. Erase the suspension they may have when it comes to him. Rather than denying anything happend to her, it's smarter to just claim it were other people.
2. I'm pretty sure in the beginning it was said that that mf and the ML were fighting against the Pope and shit,, so him saying that shit is to make the ML angry against the Pope and his ppl and to make the brother seem as the good guy, who raised her etc
Thing is, what happened to her with monks might be true and the brother was obviously hinting at it heavily. He might be completely lying or he could be just sharing what the pope did to look like the good guy without mentioning any of the traumas he inflicted on Rubi.

Why is this so underrated? It was so cute. I can't get enough of Hakuyou, he's just perfect. And the Seme is so sweet and caring towards Haku (≧∇≦)

Character like the Seme is usually a villain or side character in other manhwa but here he's the male lead. I genuinely question what the author was thinking when they created him.
The real world is not all sunshine and love and the author probably tried to depict an ab*sive relationship in an Omegaverse. Because that's the truth. Majority of people is ab*sive relationship don't even realise it so yeah
No abuse victims usually get it. It’s a lot more complicated then that. You’re in love with someone whose not always awful. So you delude yourself that things can change. I haven’t started this yet but it sounds like the seme is a sociopath or something. Usually abusers aren’t always awful. There’s times where things are good and you think maybe it’ll last this time. Also there’s the abuse victims own issues. Like low self esteem. There’s also some low key brainwashing and gaslighting. Like you know what they’re doing is to much but you belive you’re also wrong. Like I said it’s complicated. I’m conflicted on whether to read this.
