We all know that that night, Wayton and Louis decided to meet up. But Maetal, who's with a woman heading to a motel found Louis drunk and Louis is cold that's why he opened the carriage and get to that.
Here's my theory, remember the outfit that Louis is having in that night? He has formal black attire w/ a red diamond in the middle of his neck (idk what exactly is called on that thing) and that red diamond, if you looked at the details, it's glowing. And it's lyk that diamond was drugging Louis or hypnotizing him.
Move to BEFORE the previous scene happened.
What if Wayton, the one who confessed to Louis that's inlove w/ him has something to do with that red diamond and the CURRENT murdering?? (I'm so shocked how my mind went to come up with this theory, this went wild lmao). Here me out first, the suspect that was put in jail, (the red hair guy) Louis and his company made the suspect drank the drug right? And that drug made the suspect do what the person in front of him wants to do w/ him or making him spilling the thruth to them.
And if you looked back at what happened 4 months ago, Louis and Wayton is planning to meet in the middle of the night. And we all know that Wayton liked Louis. And the diamond which is most likely similar to the drug that the suspect of the murdering had was found at Louis outfit. I think that night, Wayton's probably planning to do something w/ Louis. I think he's obssesed w/ him. Like when you think abt it, abt where Louis went to Wayton's home and rejected him? He was closed to went mad but thankfully, the butler of Maetel saved the day..
Move to the next scene after the first scene happened
When Louis and Maetal was in the carriage, Maetel kept asking questions Louis right? And Louis (from what I remember) he kept answering those questions without further explenation which is suspicious. I mean, Louis is not talkative i know that but when u think abt it, u still need to explain something when u talk right? Plus when Maetel pushed Louis making Louis half body went to the chair of the carriage, Maetel mentioned that Louis is like a sobber right? And after they seggs, Maetel said to Louis to call him after he wokes up but Louis didn't. Which is sooooo way more suspicious.
Anddd also I almost forgot to mention this, when 2d characters usually drunk the author are making there face red right? But in Louis sistuation, he is not like that. The author drew him just what his usual face looks. Yes, he did drunk but i think that's not enough to put Louis forggeting what happened to him after the night was wrapped.

I’m glad someone else was thinking the same way about Louis being drunk. That fact that his eyes looked sober seems like a weird detail to put in there unless it has some significance. He seemed to be acting somewhat complacent too.

I see many comments about it's better if it's just kou and ginga like wtf we didn't see the 1st volume/season because of kou and ginga?? And there would be no kou and ginga if the mc didn't met them before the two got introduced to each other. They're 3 of them in the relationship, don't left out the mc! Especially if it's really good and had a good plot 3p way of relationship
