Agnes was indeed on her way to Yessica's safe house to meet her eventhough Alex made her promise not to visit Yessica anymore due to the risks of being found out.
Frédérick follows her and finds Jessica. Agnes who felt guilty for being a burden to Yessica everytime, decided to stab her chest with Frederick’s sword.

Eventually, when many things happened in the story, that brother and his family I think was forbidden to enter to the main house and they must only stay in the annex I think. (The annex is only use for the guest) So basically, it means that he lost his power of being a Lombardi.
