Little real life answer to the first page. There are actually sites where you can make a profile and get employed for 1 day jobs. You need to apply for them and then get chosen. Sure every day is still unusual, but I once had Friday morning helping in a hotel breakfast and Sunday handing out water at a marathon. You only have 1 interview with the site to get your profile approved and then just get chosen for the jobs you apply.
