doesn't koon and bam' s relationship resemble killua and gon's relationship a bit or is it just me?
I can see it, bt hxh was deeper
Yes. You're right. And if I remember well, Siu is actually a fan of HxH...
But in my opinion, Baam is very different from Gon.
give it time, maybe their relationship will also get deeper. baam needs to stop obsessing over rachel and start thinking about koon more ,for their relationship to develop.
koon really likes baam (he pretty much loves him) so no lack of feelings on his part which really makes me pity him because baam treats him like just a normal friend.
baam may have his differences but he is similar to gon in many ways. they are both innocent, naive, instinctive, brave and really care about their friends.

"he came in like a wreaking ball" is so much more amusing then he came in like a storm.
anyone else who feels that(๑•ㅂ•)و✧
anyone?
just me i guess.................
sorry for the stupid joke
i was starting to dislike omegaverse before this showed up because before omegaverse seemed impose the same gender stereotype and norms that i disliked about shoujo and the world in general. stereotypes like the partner on the receiving end or omega in sex should focus on household work and child rearing (or birthing) or that they are too irrational to make logical decision and can't work in a normal work force . so, for a long time i was wishing for a omega top to finally break this stereotype at least in the omegaverse.(๑•ㅂ•)و✧
You see, omegaverse was made to follow a "legit" heteronormative behavior in a gay world. That's why males can get preg, and why in the mind of some ppl having a uterus is equal to being a lustful creature, putting you in the lowest part of the pyramid.
And that is my problem. yaoi has no need of hetero-normative settings ,they are homoerotic stories and i like them that way.
if i (or anyone) wanted to read to read hetero-normative stuff then i would read shoujo or josei and definitely not yaoi.
though i guess i don't really hate the omega verse completely with stuff like male-pregnancy and cute kids in it, i just hate how they force gender norm on the uke and the seme. i mean irrespective of being omega and alpha they are at they end of the day both guys so why does one has to treated as a women. we live in the 21st century we should be fighting gender norms and not enforcing them.
i am not really trying to arguing with you or anything (just stated that because i tend to sound like i am trying to argue), just stating my opinion in a healthy discussion ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭. hope to see more of your perspective.ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~
Hmmm... I always thought that if we stop seeing genders and we start seeing persons, this sh*t about gender roles would stop.
Ok, let me explain. There is always a need on a couple to stay on the house, taking care of the descendants. Because if both leave, who will take care of them? We're mammals not snakes xD
So, if the woman quits jobs and stay in home, "omg that's so wrong, you need to claim your feminism being free of house duties".
If a male quits jobs and stay in home, "omg that's so wrong, where is your masculinity, claim it back and left the kids to the wife".
What is right then? Which choice will make me more free at the eyes of the society?
There is the role of the guardian of the house, and there is the role of the provider of the house. And both are necessary if we want a satisfactory familiar life. Things now are going crazy bc society is forcing people to want to take the provider role. The "male" role. The "stronger and free" one.
So, in reality, doesn't matters that they are both males, or females, or trans or whatever, if one of them stays at home, we, unconsciously, give to that one the "female" role.
What I want to say is: there are always gonna be "heteronormative" behaviours. Cause we were working with that law since our matriarchy was abolished eons ago xD
And why it works like that? Cos we have a uterus. And when we are 9months, we can't do many things. And here comes the "male" role, who cares of us, feed us and keeps things going while we are distracted baking human beings. And after, the maternal instinct hits us like a truck, and we get stuck with our tiny pinky creations. Here, take your omegaverse xD This genre works in the most basically human behaviour: reproduction.
Yaoi is also filled with lots of hetero things, with the uke at home and the seme working, putting an example. Cause the uke "receives", like a woman. And that long etc.
Luckily, things are changing and I am really happy those roles are fading.
And of course! We're friendly discussing. I respect your pov. You respect mine. That is how works a civilized conversation xD
Hope my answer was understandable... I'm not native xD
your answer is fine though i don't have any rights to judge as a am not a native english speaker either ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭.
i agree with your above point completely and am just as glad that our society is slowly changing.and just as you said life would be so much easier if only people saw people rather then gender or race etc.
i ( and i think many people) feel that a good solution to this problem would be sharing of responsibilities rather then assigning them based on gender and such.
To all those complaining about the ending being not enough please do note that this manga is a josei not a shoujo or a fairy tale. life does not end with a perfect happy ending and that is what this manga portrayed.
sarah has decided to get married despite knowing full well that both marriage and children take a lot of effort and that maybe later she may come to regret this marriage but she is going through it because she loves her bf and she is willing to take a chance at it.
same can be said for gang-e ,she is willing to wait 2 yrs despite no guarentee that it will work out.
as for amber ,she is beautiful, smart ,has a high paying elite job, can choose any man she wants and finally has life long friends something she has always wanted. she got her perfect ending besides she does not need a man to be happy. nobody does.
