Hey chat, just wanna know if MC got any justice in this at all? Like did the gangsters especially the leader die? What about that white haired dude, is he dead ?
I welcome all spoilers for this one.
I hope you guys let me know the good news. Thank you.
Been a while since i read the raws. Some of this may be off a bit.
Yes to justice, but not really. That video in ch 35 I believes makes it to the public and much of the other corruption too (if you read the non official chapter too parts of the revenge has started). I cant recall all what happens to them. Reider is not dead (sadly). They have one conversion than last we see is just mc and him walking past each other (no exhange). Prosecutor runs to another country. I honestly think the villains got away with more than I hoped (they should be dead or castrated, or both). Good news, happy ending for MC and ML. We see parts of their story as a couple which was nice~ final chapter is 78, so if you're only read the official chapters there's still a ways to go
This story started so good but has started to get drilled with plot holes towards the end. ML's Oldman aide basically got his own kingdom attacked to put ML on the thrown and it just got glossed over ? Dude committed treason in such a sloppy way which even had witness from another country, that's a huge weakness to have to hang over a new King's head.
And as another comment pointed out, they basically let the high priest go wherever he wanted in the castle & territory with no tail on him whatsoever despite knowing he is suspicious? That's just asking for the castle to be attacked, even without magic he could have easily leaked the weak points of the castle to enemies.
Just too many dumbass moves are happening back to back.
Not to mention this war turned out to be useless cause Mathias is on the throne now so they have to commit treason anyways. Honestly, the whole “waging a war on your own country” thing being totally glossed over is the reason why that work went downhill for me. It used to be my favorite and ML&FL too, but cause of that it really dropped down for me
I also really disliked what a pushover the emperor was. There is a fight for power and he’s just there, easily swayed by emotions and manipulated. The shitty rulers in these stories always make me wonder how they even managed to run a country.
He had a perfect plan with his son to reveal everything in front of the public, so that the empress couldn’t do anything and would loose her reputation and support. And yet he goes on to throw a tantrum the day of the ceremony? Knowing what his wife is capable of? It also seems so dumb to let the priest do any “healing” on him, while aware that this is the very person that planed to betray him and the empire, along with his wife. Why would you let your enemy anywhere near your health or life energy?
Sing is such a shipper lol.
