Okay hear me out though. Like, I mean okay What if the story she was reading was from an unreliable narrator? Now hear me out, what if it was the high priest who was really the narrator? Like think about it, what better way to sabotage the emperor then by sabotaging a relationship that can keep him connected? Like we have to think, the author may not be who we think the author is

It's possible, high priest is definitely sus but he feels more like devil incarnate sus rather then author in disguise sus to me. We still don't know his whole backstory so he could be both, either or none of them ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

I don't know, I'm actually hoping that the high priest ends up with the empress. There's something about thirst trap villains imagine a scenario, where the high priest realizes that it's the empress that has you served his plans but that just makes him intrigued by her even more and then
I wish the manhwa had as much detail as the novel, the Saint reveal scene was way more satisfying in the novel. Still I really appreciate the visual benefit of the manhwa, guess we just gotta enjoy both the mediums.
The hand cream is just an example, most people tend to have some basic ass moisturiser anyway. Though to be honest, squeaky clean ass with no prep definitely has stronger yaoi logic.
I think that the other 2 concubines arent important in the empire, because Lass destroyed 3 and the 4 of them is her bestie so.. the other 2 are isolate and in Chariot the real meaning of concubines are hostage with the actual power of chariot they are irrelevant in politics

Mmm, I think they're "important" but only those 3 were causing issues for the FL. I think they're more or less hiding sin e they HAD to be there but didn't want to.

They're "important hostages" then, lmao. But I agree they mustn't hold that much political power otherwise (or at least, not anymore?) since if they (still) did they would've appeared by now (not necessarily as agntagonists)
Even if they aren't important or simply hostages like the blue haired concubine initially was, they should have still been at least shown. Then again it doesn't really matter all that much, as long as the revenge part is going strong the rest of the plot can take a back seat.

Like they were important in the way that they (their families) helped him keep control of the kingdom but not important TO him. ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~
Author strikes with the "sad backstory for bad ML to justify a neglectful relationship" trope, it was not very effective.

Though it's definitely fun to speculate.
