Lol, people are taking it way too seriously. Its clearly meant to be a pwp story with no thoughts head empty horny characters. Nothing is realistic about it and thats why its fun.

I think it's just the art style. To me ML does look younger but the eyes and eyebrows are his identifying trait so they're exaggerated. MC keeps mentioning his stare as well.

It's funny that the emperor has a pretty similar reaction to eating pomegranate that Abel imagined on his young face, he is just faster at hiding his emotions. Abel does actually understand the kid at some level even though he us comically oblivious to him at other levels.
