i started reading this while waiting for my edible to kick in and holy crap its so freaking good, its like watching a tv show or reading a book because there are little moments and conversations that are a real part of people's lives but often get taken out of comics because got save energy and page space to show plot and you often miss the little things that makes a story go from one dimensional characters to 3d people with real lives. its so well written and drawn i love it so much its feels revelatory for manhwa, at least rated r manhwa cause its not here jus for sex (which is totally fine) but for all of the parts of a person that makes up their life. its so good and im only on chapter 26
also i did not expect such a nuanced coming out experience. obviously i dont know what will happen since im only on chapter 26 but i relate so hard to being so close to your family but still be extremely distanced and have thick walls because you are afraid to come out to them. coming out to my family was easy so i hope his goes ok
i just read the whole thing. i cannot believe this developed into an incredible drama about human nature and navigating life while dealing with trauma, depression, and eating disorders. but not being super depressing and still full of love and character development. i feel like ive been watching their lives for years since the art changed so much in the last couple hours. i am super high though so it could be trash but im living
i stopped reading at ch66 because i couldnt deal with the horror that was coming. could someone give me rundown of ch66-the end so that i can read the side story?
Spoiler
Jooha gets kidnapped and raped by one of the twins, but Dooshik and his mafia boss save him. In the meantime Jooha learns that he has known Dooshik for years, because when he was used as a "pearl maker" it was actually Dooshik who saved him, instead of Pilwon (Dooshik was looking for his lover who worked as a prostitute at that time). Classic kdrama cliche, they have known each other for a long time, but they forgot. lol
Then, when it looks like everything will be fine, Pilwon comes and blackmails Jooha (with Dooshik's life) and Jooha leaves Dooshik.
Then Dooshik blackmails one of the twins to help him bring Pilwon down.
They release some shady stuff about Pilwon, he gets angry and wants to kill Dooshik. Jooha then grabs Pilwon and jumps from a cliff. Pilwon dies, Jooha loses his memories (his last memory is from the time he was a high school student living with his mom and a random, nice guy was visiting them. He can't remember the face, so he thinks it might have been Dooshik, but it was Pilwon.)
Then Dooshik and Jooha get out of the hospital and start a new life as restaurant owners.
Dooshik is sad that Jooha does not have memories, but he is happy that finally Jooha can live a simple life.
In the end Jooha falls in a frozen lake and Dooshik tries to save him. This moment brings back the memories of Jooha, as it reminds him of one of their first meetings (when Jooha had to save Dooshik). Many people thought they died in the frozen lake, but they get out of it and live happily ever after (confirmed by the author).
Btw the twins die in the jail.
The side story follows their everyday life, when Jooha does not have his memories, but falls in love with Dooshik again.
I mean we all knew that was coming. Kinda wish as an adult he didn't wanna be in a relationship just cause he didn't feel like it or is aromatic, not cause of trauma. People can just not wanna date and still be horny, even if they arent aromantic. Let the gays have a content life we're going through enough.
And you just know that season 1 is gonna end with him falling in love with both leads and then high school trauma guy shows up wanting to get back together.
I just love uke so much want want him to be happy in a poly triad
how are we 75 chapters into an R manhwa and still no sex
THANK YOU. Also how does someone in college not know how sex works? Makes no sense
no but fr, I hate how some authors make their characters naive and “innocent” af even tho they are grown ass adults
Fr fr that is why I read yaoi in the first place! I have been so freaking patient with this series. It’s prob gonna take them 50 more episodes to actually screw and it will prob be pg.
Clarification: I read yaoi bc it usually has fewer stupidly naive characters often seen in het manga. But of course this basically is just duplicating it. It honestly feels like r/menwritingwomen becoming r/womenwritingmen
Same tbh I hardly read shonen ai, I’m an adult and I find it kinda weird when adult characters behave like high schoolers but yea it will take another while till something actually happens. I liked the first 40-50 chapters but for what is it now they could’ve made this R15
But hetero sex is different from LGBTQ+ sex. Across the spectrum sex varies and it also is specific to the partner...
Also, South Korea is still very, very conservative and technically porn is largely illegal over there.
So where and why would the MC know how 'it' works?
*gay sex, he was never gay so.
Its probably different in other countries, because compared to my friends in uni yeah they including me have 0 experiences in sexual stuffs or even kissing, also depending to the social circle actually but normally no experience
And u r in uni?
