why do manhwas so often switch the story to focus on a 2nd couple once the 1st couple gets together? it feels like that's the direction we're going in and i'd much rather see more of kanghyuk and yoojun easing into their relationship.

Ikr?! I personally hate when they do it
( ̄^ ̄) I’m always so deep in relationship of the main couple that I can’t switch and empathize with another. And most times I’m just skipping.
Now spoiler alert
I’ve read raws till the end and fortunately there won’t be a lot of chapters about second couple. Like about 3 or 4.

i hate it too! it's so unnecessary. is it because the author feels like they need to spice things up or else readers won't be interested? i would honestly read hundreds of chapters of kanghyuk and yoojun just being super domestic cause i love their relationship dynamic. ㅠㅠ and thanks for the spoiler...that makes me feel better lol

as much as i like the live adaptation, there is a charm the characters have in their original manga form that i love. i think part of it is the chemistry between adachi and kurosawa. the actors definitely did a good job but naturally in the manga the characters are more expressive with their faces and body language. seeing the two of them blush with the soft background panels adds something that is difficult to replicate when dealing with real people.

not people in the comments talking about how "unprofessional" yoojun is being? the doctor-patient relationship is the whole premise of the story. it became unprofessional a long time ago, when they swapped phone numbers and ate dinner together while talking about kanghyuk's love issues.
why do you think kanghyuk was so worried about his outfit or the convo they were having while cooking? they're both attracted to each other but kanghyuk thinks it's more one-sided because he can't see why someone mature like yoojun would be interested him. yoojun gently touching kanghyuk's waist or getting physically close to him is his way of testing whether kanghyuk is okay with that level of physical intimacy. it's a form of body language you use with people you're interested in, it's not uncommon?
yoojun appears to be genuinely interested in kanghyuk which is why he is being so careful and not too forward out of fear of freaking kanghyuk out. he is taking things slowly and giving kanghyuk outs if he doesn't feel the same way.

kitaoji telling arima the reason he treats him so gently has nothing to do with gender but instead it's because he loves him

I was glad to read that answer because honestly I am getting fed up with characters in manga saying "that's the way you should treat a woman", "women are fragile", etc etc. At least he sees it in a different light :) Sometimes I feel kind of insulted, but I guess characters are not perfect, politically correct human beings ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
i can manifest a man like director kang into my life...
