I keep coming back because this is giving me an experience I've never had in a BL before: I legit have no idea who the Uke is going to choose.
Both Semes have good and bad things about them. Taekyung is a legit rival, not just a one-dimensional plot device to push the couple closer. Neither is fully vilified (yet? who knows?) and the Uke is so wishy-washy and emotionally unexpressive that he's impossible to predict.
I have really mixed feelings about that last chapter. The combination of Suha fantasizing while using Park's body was a really cute way to show how much Suha desires him, but...like....it's not consent. Park probably would have said yes if he had been awake, but he wasn't. So...I don't know how to feel about this. It was cute...buuuuuuuut...
100% agree. Even with long-term relationships it's a bit iffy, unless the partner aggres to it ofc.
Yeah, I know some people like being woken up with sex. It's a thing some people are into, but as you said, they have to agree to it beforehand.

I mean, Seungho isn’t wrong that it’s practical. I imagine Nakyum has never been fed properly his entire life. But also, we’ve never seen Seungho show actual care for anyone else’s well-being. He treats Nakyum better than literally anyone else in his life.
I think he legitimately doesn’t know how. He’s a noble, which in this story means he can do anything without consequences. He literally killed someone with multiple witnesses and no one cares. Anyone raised in that environment would have an insane sense of entitlement and a few screws loose.
Neither of these characters would know a healthy relationship if it slapped them in the face. I think that’s why many of the darker (confinement, rape, etc.) elements work so well in this series. They literally don’t know any better.
I don’t think Nakyum has yet. He started the series as a drunk (no longer painting due to Inhun’s influence), with just about nothing. Nakyum stayed and painted for Seungho because he promised to help Inhun and raise his status. Nakyum thought Inhun would take care of him in return (terribly naive because Inhun didn’t approve of the paintings in the first place).
When that went to shit, Seungho was all Nakyum had left. I think he’s staying out of self-interest (for now.) Season One was about Seungho falling for Nakyum, but I think Season Two will be about Nakyum falling for Seungho.
i think he is developing feelings, probably just lust at first, since he's taking out all his sexual frustration with Seungho.
I know I’m being selfish but I really hope there is more. There’s still so much potential. What would their lives be like after graduation? What about their families? I would follow Mingwa and this couple just about anywhere. Jiwon and DG have both experienced a lot of individual growth, but I want to see them take on challenges as an actual couple, like what Cherry Blossoms After Winter is doing in Season 4.
For that matter, what about Chanwoo and MD? They’re officially dating now. I would love to see them form a 24/7 relationship and watch it develop.
Oh boy. I almost never get secondhand embarrassment but Yeong’s outburst to Dobin...that was rough. Dobin was so nice about it, though.

I know I’m a little late to the party, but I’m glad I gave this another try. I still think it has problems. The couple sucks at consent. Giovanni is a little creepy in the beginning and is too possessive throughout. Jealousy is romanticized.
BUT I loved watching them grow together, and their affection really becomes very genuine and I’m looking forward to the rumored second season. It took about 50 chapters for me to really love it, but I got there eventually.
Okay, this Dense Uke thing is getting to be too much, even by BL standards.
