it’s not that uncommon in asia (esp rural parts like this) for families who aren’t blood-related to consider each other close enough to call each other things like “brother/sister/cousin”! of course, there are also instances of actual cousins being romantic, but that’s definitely not as common anymore. idk which context sensei’s going with here (unless i missed it), but it’s just as likely that they aren’t actually blood-related and that their families are just super close.

uhhh??? hello?? what the fuck is there to be upset about, jennette???? you talk to your fake dad and now your fake sister’s staying with you without having to sneak around?? athy’s like “oh, yeah, i’m running from the law bc my dad will Actually Fucking Murder Me if i’m found out” and jennette’s like “that sucks lmao wanna have a sleepover about it?” she finally has a roof over her head after running from the government and all you’re worried about is whether or not you can have secret girl time???

tryna piece these panels together like a jigsaw puzzle bc they’re lowkey highkey fucked up

Indeed it's very confusing. I thought the uploader had troubles when they updated the chapter (which happens regularly) but the fruit basket poping randomly made me think it was rather a very sad prank, in the end I have no idea what's going on. I'm just glad it was a smut chapter and not a story one.

-stem from the fact that, while real now, she WAS originally the main character for a “lower status girl is actually a princess” type novel, which are typically power-fantasies for their demographic. she doesn’t have much of a personality outside of being kind and naive and curious and loved by everyone because those are the characters that someone can easily self-insert into. from what i remember, in the OG timeline before athy, jen got athy killed over a misunderstanding, and then GOT MARRIED without too much grief. things happen AROUND and TO her, she reacts to things, she feels things, but she doesn’t actually make those things happen. her purpose was to be a vessel the audience could project onto, but she’s lost her purpose and ultimately feels like a useless character who is kind to the point of being unrealistic, naive to the point of indirectly causing problems for others, curious but not driven enough to actually act on it, and loved by everyone without actually doing much to earn it. she plays out like a self-insert OC, but instead of magically fixing people’s problems, she’s (unknowingly) kind of the direct reason why things are getting worse.

look i know this isn’t a harem and i don’t expect it to happen but i’m gonna get really weirded out if Luck ends up with his buddy’s fifteen-year-old daughter

Y'all are forgetting that this is a fantasy manga where a majority of engagements happen when kids are basically still in utero. Plus, from what I can tell Luck has no interests in the girls. So this is not pedophilia. That's just strecthing it.
What I'm going to assume is that tthe dad's are probably gonna bring up having one (if not all) of their daughters be engaged to Luck.

knowing that seungho’s so obsessed with nakyum - to the point that he’s outright ignoring/rejecting his whole harem of dudes more than willing to put out. like, this ONE painter is enough to put SH’s whole estate out of order. i always feel bad for NK but fuck if it isn’t cathartic to imagine the hell he could raise if he could learn to stand up for himself and maybe cry on command.
ohh so these are like fast-paced little vignettes :-0 i can get behind that
