Gale was raped by his father and his mother (I believe in one of the chapters they rape him together at the same time). His mother used to also beat him.
I think he was sexually abused by his father and mother for a long time. In chapter 54 it starts to give a little information of why maybe he acts the way he does. As well as being an ex-solider I am assuming he suffers from PTSD.

It's one of my favorites from back in the day too, though I'm a new user here I've been very fond of this manga for years. Glad to see that it's gotten some closer and is getting translated slowly (⌒▽⌒)
i though that the author stoped or something but ita good that we get some more of this story :)
