I bet that the maid knew the duke wanted a special child and stole the stone to give to her daughter so MC is really the special one. She was separated from the stone so evil is running rampant.
I agree. The MC is def the saintess and the other wlman seems like she could have stolen the stone as the MCs mothers maid. I still feel sorry for Muriel, the sister, and I hope the MC can help her.
