I guess the MC is actually pink haired etc (thought I don't understand how the hair length difference works) but looks "plain" due to some magic...pretty obvious honestly. The necklace protected her and made her return to the past which is also the reason why it cracked...also pretty obvious. I'm positive she's the long lost daughter of the friend the duke briefly mentioned. I would be surprised if it were otherwise.
