Did the MC forget just a couple chapters ago this dude wanted to sell her off essentially to a guy that he knew she did not like and had no good intentions? And now you're unwilling to give him up? Man.... The bar is in the pits of hell and not one of them cleared it

The situation in the first chapter makes a lot more sense and sounds more reasonable now that we know the ml is mentally disturbed and the mc who should have taken on a parental/sibling role is just letting him do anything and build this sexual relationship instead of shutting that down at the start and having a sit down conversation. Like who fucks their should-be son/brother because they don't want them to leave the house? That sounds like a porno plot.

Honestly sometimes in life things are gone and never coming back, and we can't replace them with something similar. It isn't fair to us and it isn't fair to them. The best thing is to let go and move on.

I think it would actually be nice to see one webtoon go down that route for a change, instead of having the leads come together in spite of anything and everything (in this case the sexual assault and the fact this isn't really the real Nuah)

I just read the novel and the ML is so much worse than they show in the manhua and YES he is still endgame in spite of the constant rape, abuse, beatings and lashings he subjects the MC to.

We're also supposed to feel bad for ML because he was the only one who didn't believe the MC was actually dead and whatever and he sat at the cliff the MC fell off of once a year up until they reunited (so thrice lol) and all the other shallow shit that absolutely could never make up for all the dehumanisation and torture.

Did you know that the tattoo branding the ML did is something they only do for prostitutes and criminals in that world? And we are supposed to feel sorry for ML because he wallowed in shame for a couple of years? All while ML literally raped him almost to death multiple times, still didn't cancel the marriage to the MC's sister and HE KNEW the sister put a hit on MC that happened during their wedding. Fuck that, fuck the ML and actually fuck the MC too for being so stupid that you could literally never find somebody this dumb in reality unless they were brain dead, confined to a hospital bed and hooked to life support.

Also notable that the plot point responsible for the MC and ML meeting again is just fucking ridiculous lol I am so skipping on all chinese manhua from now on.
