The names in this webtoon .. Auschwitz... Adolf ... >.>
It's not that deep. I speak german myself and just shrugged my shoulders and wondered where/how we ended up here. lol .. the translation has gotten worse over the course of the story but I'm still grateful to the people who work on this.
The use of german in(to) manhwas is not uncommon.
We had Achtschwert, Achtschwartz, now Ausschwitz... what comes next? lol
Genuine question, if it’s not that deep why post the original comment implying that the names chosen are sketchy bc of their association with n*zis? I was trying to explain how we ended up with those names in the scanlation. It’s an error due going from German > Korean > English, and the examples i gave are just the most reasonable options.
In the notes of an earlier chapter another scan group explained this as well, that the name isn’f auschwitz. Korean writing and pronunciation would make all of the options sound very similar (probably something like A-sswa-te-seo). I see it happen all the time with scanlations with names like Ludwig vs Rudwick, Irene va Elain, Iris vs Alice etc.
Are you perhaps part of the translation team?
It's not so deep/profound in terms of it didn't bother me, because I know how a translation can end up that way, and I made no further reference to the *Third Reich* or anything, don't insinuate more than I actually wrote.
I wonder how you can be so deliberately misleading and misinterpret everything. I'm not going to explain myself anymore. I'm still grateful to the people who work on this webtoon, but I see no reason to explain myself for something I didn't even hint at.
Take a deep breath, the issue is smaller than has been implied here.
Keep up with the good work. I'm already looking forward to the next chapters.
Ichikawa-sensei is forbidden from ever ending this story! I simply can't bear the thought of saying goodbye.
