I just kinda confuse sometime with the taste of people in this fandom. No offense (its probably just my own opinion alone) but people sometime dub something that has been done thousand time in yaoi genre like childhood friend or classmates, usually with same exact formula of one of them have one sided love at first and then the other start accepting the other feeling as masterpiece but consider series that take theme that rarely explore in depth in yaoi genre as gross just because it touch sensitive subject without trying to understand what writer try to convey first. Its not like every story need to about perfect and healthy relationship of two cute guy you know (that would be really boring in my opinion, lol). Btw that last kiss scene probably one of most memorable scene, i ever see in yaoi and its also fit with the whole feeling of the manga about the reality that society we live in sometimes still try to force you to fit under their standard of normality and discard anybody that dont fit their criteria of normality like Nii-chan.
That is because majority of yaoi readers only care for hot yaoi manga characters. Its all about the fantasy. Majority can't take reality. There have been a lot of yaoi out there that have rape but when the story develops into love and characters are hot, its instantly okay. When you make the manga all flowery and put hot guys in them, people instantly fall in love with it even though, rape happens. Of course its still a manga which is not real.
I agree. I think people need to start made different between the Yaoi that they read for story and for sexual purpose, and just dont shun everything just because it doesnt have cute guy, hot sex, or all flowery relationship. I did though. And for rape, i know there is several manga with rape that had a good rating because it was bishie the one who raping another bishie. I only rape like in this one if the story also go hand in hand with the rape thematic of the manga and not just there for sex. I also like story in Yaoi where they bring a lot of commentary about social nature (The main character as gay make it even easier for writer to did it but not all writer unfortunately did this). This manga and Yatamomo last chapter by same writer is one of example. And i also like if the two character meet in unorthodox way like this one (the classmates and childhood with exception one or two had become pretty boring.

I have found it!!! Oldboy Yaoi Version (Not that similar, but it have same vibe)!!! I always having hard time believe when someone say that its their first ever written BL when the story end up becoming absolutely amazing.
Oh yeah, i think this is also the first yaoi i ever read with the truly episodic vibe on it. I like how each chapter change focus on different costumer with various motivation to climb Denali and its various background story. The downside it is to short man.

Even though i am minority in here, i still hope that Tohru sensei keep making the series realistic and that including keeping Yoshinaga and Hasegawa as best friend and not lover. Is nice to read story about gay guy and straight guy friendship that ground in reality like this so i dont really want much change in status. Beside this story remind me of me and my best friend back in high school.
I can understand that even though I wouldn't mind if it got romantic. When Sakura first came on the scene I thought it would be really refreshing for Yoshinaga to end up with a knowingly gay character.
Well, even if got romantic, i can still except it little bit but it just rare to see manga about relationship between straight guy and gay guy that focus more on their friendship and dont try to made them into lover. This manga currently make me feel like that most BL that involve this type relationship try to tell us: "Straight Men and Gay Men is not mean to become friend unless they proceed to romantic stage" and i dont want it to change. Tohru sensei can introduce other character as both MC love interest and keep the two of them as best friend that help each other on their love live. There is more possibility to this story that they can expand (He/She already did it to some extend by introducing Mayu and Sakura) without involving the two MC got in love with each other.
