I reading several chapter of this series again because how much i love Hate Mate and i always can't hide my smile when i see the last few page of Epilogue. Its just Subin and Hyunwoo start talking shit about each other casually like in old days, and Dongjun is just sitting right in middle of them while smiling.
His expression is like saying that his job is finally over here. I think we need to give more appreciation for guy like him, who willing to stay and listen to all his friend problem no matter how mess of a guy they are
I just realize that from the layout of it, there is almost no private area inside the room (Like Bathroom or Divider between bed). That pretty tough for men you know. If you know what i mean hehe.

Damn, my heart just melt. This Author have made my heart melt from his/her romantic confession scene twice. First in Yupiteru no Onegai with "Because you two that i'm number one in the universe" and now here with "I'll wait for you". Reading this author manga is a definition of having a doki-doki in your heart, lol.
They are really cute and adorable for sure. Not to mention this mangaka is also really romantic when its come to his/her story. In Afurete Shimau, its all about the flower and its meaning while in here is all about the star and how its shine. Whether is about Polenium flower (Mean "I'll wait for you") or its about Yupiteru (Mean "Luck" and "Shine"), this mangaka know how to made a really romantic scene.
This author have write a pretty realistic story by for once, research how male friend interact with each other (That time she spend with her friend drinking is definitely paid off). But the decision for the Authour to made Subin end up with Kang who just show up halfway series instead Hyunwoo put it at another level.
In BL story, first love trope have been used too many times despite the fact in real life, its usually the third or even the tenth love that finally work out for you. The more bittersweet ending this series have is definitely is refreshing comapare to the more usual perfect happy ending.
In the end, this not story of Subin and Hyunwoo love story but the journey of both of them trying to find love in life while trying to understand each other. Some of their journey fail but other is success. The secret is not to cling on broken relationship as long as you can but to move on and learn from the mistake of previous relationship.
Honestly I agree. Maybe it could have worked out for Subin and Hyunwoo, but it didn't. because hyunwoo was not as good of a partner as hyung. and sometimes i get really sick of characters ending up with people who weren't good to them just because they are the "main pairing". just my take on things

I Just manage to have time to read the last two update. My heart has been break when i turn into last page and see the Mitsuru-san and Miyako-san car going into the night. They both die before they can apologize to the person they love :(

Love that anime. Not yet read the manga though. I found Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju and Itoshi no Nekone at different occasion only to realize it was from same author.
On Amazon I discovered an anime based on a manga that this same artist did the art for (not the story), The Great Passage. Its not long and not as good as Showa Genroku Rakugo but I think its worth checking out. When I found out it was based on a manga by my fav mangaka artist I just was so surprised. Its about the making of a new dictionary, a slice of life anime.

I am currently re reading all my favorite Yaoi manga again. This time is Yatamomo which i consider as Harada most kinkiest and heartwarming story for a reason. I think a lot of people is to hung up on Momo Mother fault in the past and end up forget the message Harada try to tell in last episode. Forgiveness. Its seems simple but kinda hard to do at same time. For longest time, i hate my dad and never get along with him no matter what, just like Momo and his mother. I past that time several year before and right know when i realize it would not get us going anywhere. Even though i still disagree with him a lot, i hold no grudge to him anymore. I still some time fight with him once in a while but i will try my hard to making out to him after the fight, unlike in the past. He also seems realize my change of attitude, so he also has been try to do the same time after every fight and try to not made too many open conflict with me. No matter his personality that i can't get along with, he still my dad, and he is the man of his word who will fulfill his obligation as parent no matter the situation. So he does have redeeming quality that i can't see before because of my grudge before. I just realize i can't just see my dad or any people as simply black and white after that.
Yatamomo also never write it character as simple black and white. I have seen several BL manga with just overly disgusting antagonist, that feel like the writer try to villainize for sake of drama. I never felt that way with Suda and Momo Mother. Suda is jealousy and possessive person but Momo also kinda rob his money (I still find it kinda hilarious). In the the end, he just a lonely old man that afraid being left alone that why he develop that kind of complex, but as Yata say, he really care about Momo in his own way. That why he step up from Momo and Yata relationship in the end. Momo Mother is also similar, that she really is irresponsible mother, but she also having a child at really young age and her job which is prostitute is not suit to raise a child then need to raise the child herself. But, like people say, with ages come wisdom, so i feel she really mean it when she try to made up with her son and amend her mistake in the past. She can just live a happy live with her new husband with out any guilt but she came back to her son just to looking for a fake ring that Momo once buy for her, and of course, to make sure Momo lead happy life and not just her only.That why the last two chapter of Yatamomo always held special place in my heart, just because how smooth they close the story with its message and the way they portray its character as human with its complex instead a caricature of black and white we used to see.
