I feel like I should have expected this but still…I forgot to add the spoiler thing so beware.

-Arya has actually regressed countless times but lost all memory of it.
-Axel (true ML) had always been close to her since before the 1st regression and saves her from the experiments from 1st timeline onward (her father gets what he deserves) when looking for a talented elementalist for the Labyrinth subjugation. Not sure if he remembers anything.
-There’s a lot of Demon King soul/possession stuff with Axel, plus the whole deal with him being the vessel etc it’s too much for me to explain properly here…basically they can’t win this way no matter the plan. Aria always ends up dying and ML regresses for her sake, making the Demon Lord problem worse.
-Eventually, He seals away the Demon King in part of his soul (somehow??). He has the god El turn back time to the beginning and tries to protect Aria by sealing her memories so she won’t be involved with him. He has her mother write the “novel” to only give her hints of the future, but has her to omit their close (intimate??) relationship—Current timeline romance is sparse.
-Not sure about the plot climax??
-The fantasy library=library of the dead. This is where she interacts with her mother, who is there as a dead person and Aria can visit because her mom made a deal with the god El. The library is slowly killing her.
-Pi basically exists to the library’s god and replace(?) the evil god. It’s sad. I’m sad. He deserves better. He resents being part of the plot to save Axel and heads into yandere territory when he’s tempted to kill her to keep her with him. His other ideas are also kind of dark bc he also splits his soul and the half that wants her to be happy is kind of also bad.
-His end is kind of??? he does become a god and she convinces him to live on and move forward. Idk.
-The day gets saved and they’re all heroes and such. Notably, Ludwig becomes crown prince and gets the recognition deserves.
-I do think the full truth about Axel and Aria’s multiple-regression-spanning, tragic love story, humanizes him a lot compared to the way he’s portrayed in the “novel.” His motivation to defeat the Demon King make so much more sense than just doing it out of some obligation and turning back time to his own detriment, which probably would have been obvious at some point. He needed desperation to do it despite that. He also would have different reasons to get more powerful spirits than what was written. But idk if he remembers bc it doesn’t seem like it???
The fact that Yvonne has the same name as my grandma somehow makes this worse…I’m so glad Derek never gets redeemed after all this, he doesn’t deserve it. Not that he ever did, considering how little he changed as a character. Reynold at least made the full transition from homicidal menace at the start to apologetic and relatively “normal” sibling.
This bitch really thought she did something…girl all you did was give Izek another reason to remove Cardinal Valentino’s head.

Side note?? I am so SO glad they got such a talented artist to adapt a series that covers such heavy topics properly. They’re doing a fantastic job portraying the characters’ inner thoughts and emotions as well as the general tone of each scene not just through their drawings, but through their colour and lighting choices. I mean, they’re also making the reading experience so much more stressful compared to simply reading the text, but in a good way?? Like if you’re going to drive a metaphorical knife into my heart, do it right. (Also, I gave a detailed summary of the rest of this arc in an earlier post in this thread if you’re stressed and need details).
I feel bad so many of Isidore’s efforts to get her attention seem to be in vain, but how can he not see how suspicious he is? At the same time, I get why Deborah wouldn’t look into it—she doesn’t seem to have the time or interest enough to do so between her family drama, trying to get through school, paying attention to the original plot, her money-making schemes, etc. Plus her suspicion is mostly rooted in: he’s technically not a character in the novel, he’s oddly familiar for someone she’s only just met, and she’s spent enough time with his alter-ego to make subconscious connections. Like, he is legitimately suspicious—he’s secretly an information broker obsessed with money with questionable morals—but she’s not aware of this (yet) and for whatever reason he seems to like her and is helping her out. The fact that he’s deceiving her isn’t great and will probably bite him in the ass, I just hope he realizes this at some point. (I wish I had kept going with the novel but the excessive detail regarding their businesses were too much for me.)
Getting into this i truly did not expect the villainy to be venture capitalism by the 1% yet here we are. In great detail at that. Also, I don’t think coffee people realize that the bitter drink will not appeal to everyone, regardless of how well it’s brewed. Maybe with milk/sugar, but I’d rather have a strong black tea any day.
As a black coffee drinker I can confirm that it is an acquired taste. I used to drink it with milk and sugar, then gradually less sugar.. less milk.
Don’t get me wrong, I will drink it with milk and honey but not on regular basis
I heavily relate to that coffee dislike. Sometimes coffee fanatics forget that some people hate the drink no matter how sweetened (and in some cases like me, even hate the smell). I'll stick tea for my caffeine intake, thanks.
I don't mind reading about coffee being this amazing drink, but I'm always curious how they'd deal with a coffee hater but they just never get around to it.
Fr, I feel exactly the same! The duchess' lofi coffee house was especially difficult for me to read. At least this one has non-coffee drinks like smoothies
Lmao I had a hard time with that one too for the same reason!!
