the misunderstandings here are too much, it feels like the story is going around in circles because neither of them actually communicates anything and simply assumes what the other is thinking

dietsoba February 27, 2024 10:43 pm

Unilaterally deciding what’s best for someone, without communicating anything or listening to their needs, is so incredibly inconsiderate. How was she even supposed to know they were “protecting” her at all if they didn’t tell her? How would they know what she needs without asking? She can’t even trust the people who help her get ready, regardless of where the duchess is. The king needs to properly take responsibility for the welfare of the person he swept up into this and the prince needs to stop following in his footsteps.

i know it’s in the background but there are a lot of steps in inside that manor, especially compared to his previous house, and it’s bothering me because the loss of mobility and independence would be huge;; idk maybe they’ll fix it (i live with someone who uses a wheelchair)…not that seeing her carry him isn’t precious

I hope so too, but I can also see mc using this chance to carry him everywhere XD

pleaaaaase tell me this arc doesn’t last long
…(dear novel readers please help) like, I’all here for drama, and i get that he might get something out of this separation from her overwhelming influence on him, but backtracking on character/relationship development, only to have to do it all over again with 10x the anxiety, is gonna be annoying as hell. there’s gotta be a better way

If the person isn’t breathing, you do CPR before you do anything else, because nothing matters if their heart stops and their brain isn’t getting oxygen. No idea if this is the case in Ch 1 because we don’t see the details, but the emphasis was on the ignorant onlookers focusing on the mouth-to-mouth and not the basic first aid. Mostly defending this because the way FL caught the maid by manipulating her into thinking she had rabies was kind of epic.

So we’ve found the final princess…who has zero interest in men and refused to even bother trying to charm the prince. Honestly? Mood. Juana is far more genuine in her chivalry anyway. And since the uncle is too old and the gardener is wrapped up with a different princess…i can get behind this ship. It won’t happen but even so.

Tbh I don’t really feel like it was rushed all that much save for the lack of an epilogue. This was actually a really well executed isekai with a proper ending that actually made sense and was foreshadowed the entire time. Like, it wasn’t bloated and no time was wasted—it felt tight and was a good relatively quick read compared to others.

Would it not have made more sense to try and get someone else as a spy to find out info on who she’s actually loyal to?? Objectively speaking, Sigrid is a terrible choice for this type of spy work because she’s bad with subtleties, too straightforward, and incredibly easy to read. I get that the author wanted to recreate that “same but different” dynamic with the emperor, but Sigrid was never really a spy to begin with. It would be better to test her loyalty by forcing her to use skills she actually possesses to do things like “remove obstacles.” The parallels with previous timeline would be stronger and it would be easier for her to fall back into old habits and take up her “perfect knight” persona. Yeah, it’s probably about how much stronger her relationships are with the people around her but there’s so much miscommunication in this series already.

tbh it’s not that serious I’m just frustrated another wrench was thrown in the romance before they even sorted through the previous nonsense

I think so but knowing Sigrids personality, she wouldn’t want someone else to be in danger as a spy

It’s a fun story, but the use of miscommunication and withholding of key information is needlessly excessive to the point that it’s infuriating. FL is pretty clueless and has low awareness of herself and others. The people around her know this and yet they continue to keep things from her (mostly the dragon). On top of that, instances where she might learn something are constantly baited by the author with no payoff. Maybe they could change it up and tell her the truth and let her work through it on her own?? Because implying things isn’t working. She may be clueless, but she’s a kind soul and I’m concerned she might end up hurt if she’s presented this information in ways that might hurt her. We’ve already seen it with ML’s telling her how devastated he was after she passed, something made so obvious everyone knows. I just think it’s poor storytelling and cheapens the drama.

Pretty admirable of you to be concerned about a character that is written according to the author's plot

dietsoba February 9, 2024 6:08 pm

there were nods at the possibility of karin not being straight earlier, but this was certainly a huge step forward. I hope she’s able to step out from under her father’s expectations and love who she wants.
