Mc didn’t say he was happy with how he was treated, he said he was happy his bf was angry. When he first broke up with him, the bf seemed to take it well which upset the mc. Now since the bf got angry it shows that he actually didn’t want to break up. Right before the mc said he was happy that his bf was angry over the breakup, after the rape, he also thought ‘this is the worst.’
I get that some people like this type of thing and darker stories in general but that doesn’t mean that everyone else is being toxic or overreacting for not liking that the bf raped the mc
