I used to read this when it first started coming out and left it alone to marinate, ik the plot pts of the main story. Can someone spoil on the epilogue, tiktok saidn to pretend it doesn't exist and i just wna know why

TOPIC MAY CONTAIN SPOILER
the epilogue is about asher and aria's twin daughters coming from the future. The older one bliss wants to not be born to avoid Aria becoming sick when she gave birth. Eventually Lippie the younger twin comes and helps Asher and Aria find a cure for bliss who was born ill. Then they go back to the future now that they found a way to help Aria from being ill after giving birth. It's a happy ending with the whole family.
Crappy description but I would read it if you want a happy cute ending.

I changed my mind about liking this despite being a harem.

Ive come to my senses. The pt of this story is that mc is an extreme scumbag. There's barely any redeeming quality. I feel sorry for the women he's intentionally manipulated down into a dark path, and the future women too. If scumbag mc is what you enjoy then this story is really solid, but the emotional manipulation(/highkey abuse) and gaslighting of these women is a lot, and it makes me sad because there are many being emotionally abused like this in real life. Especially the part where mc puts the gaslighting dial to the max when yandere clearly caught him having an affair. I read some novel spoilers and there's more of that treatment to come.

I still stand by what i said about the love interests being op and talented. But im not gonna glorify the MC's abuse anymore :,(

Yeah, I'm really confused. I thought it would be obvious? From chapter one, we can see how he operates and works. He definitely has his own good qualities but he's not a good person. The thing about Hayan is it wasn't actually Kiyoung's fault. In fact, he just wanted a sibling like relationship but because of Hayan being incredibly attached to him and being obsessed with him, he used that to his own benefit

I guess it's my fault for not being fully clear? In the link above (which was my first comment before this one) my main focus was the harem trope and how i liked how it was handled here. If you go back, i never *not* acknowledged that he's a scumbag, i knew what he was from the beginning, and I've had my fair share of scumbag/villain mcs that I've enjoyed so I'm not averse to the trope. In my first link, and ig in this comment as well, what i shldve stressed is the *harem* trope that im usually aversed too.
I tend to avoid most harem tropes because I'm a found family lover- with polygamy/polycules therefore being an offshoot of that- and it's really boring seeing a bunch of 1 dimensional characters (and that 1 dimension of their character usually being purely sexual) surrounding the mc who is doing interesting actions in the plot (and the love interests generally being a hindrance to the plot on top of that). I really enjoy this harem however because the characters themselves are really powerful and needed in the plot to make up for the mc being pitifully weak (at least in this start).
I continued reading the novel at the equivalent chapter after these ones, so i have my spoilers of how it can get, and ive also read plenty FMC stories where one of the antagonists wld be their narcissistic exbf who is a serial cheater, so with all these perspectives, my mind just cleared up that's all ┑( ̄∇ ̄")┍. Even though ive enjoyed scumbag protagonists, this is my first time reading them in harems, and i just dont like seeing abuse in relationships, that's just my opinion? ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ manipulate and sabotage other ppl xD
Also, about Hayan, don't say that it is not his 'fault' because he doesn't consider it a flaw, being dependent and attached to him is something he purposefully cultivated, the 'how' was just out of his expectations. Saying it's not his fault sounds like it absolves him of responsibility, when we all know very well that he finds their relationship now much more beneficial to him than what he intended, and there's a chapter in which he absolutely revels in it too.
I still like this story, very unique and compelling plot, with engaging characters, im just not glorifying it anymore. Simple enough...

Exactly, how she ended up wasn’t exactly his fault. He wanted her to depend on him, yes, but he didn’t want her to be dependent in THAT way. A part of the reason why Hayan ended up being like that is because her mental state was bad from the beginning and to her, Kiyoung was her light and savior. Kiyoung took advantage of that to get into a “sibling-like” relationship with her but that’s not what Hayan wanted. THAT isn’t his fault, that’s Hayan’s honest feelings. What is his fault is how he took advantage of those feelings to have a powerful pawn on his side.

I cannot believe i enjoyed a scummy protagonist x harem but i really did. Harem mcs and this mc both look at their mls/fls as objects, but the difference is other harem narratives tend to value the sexual fantasy of the fl/ml (i.e. big boob type, small boob type, loli-bait type, shota-bait type, tan skin type) which as a woman, feels tiring and dehumanizing to see that so saturated, where as this mc values the fls strengths, achievements, potential and the narrative genuinely makes them feel strong/OP. Their clothing isnt overtly sexual or overly revealing.. it's normal even.
And i even feel that if the girls didnt initiate it, he wld genuinely accept them as platonic allies as long as it guarantees his safety. He unfortunately (/fortunately) suffers from W Rizz and he's like a bard from dnd rolling a 20 in charisma to charm the dragon.

And yet that's how you want the guys to be treated. Besides, the girls are just token strong. They are still your classic harem girls. Harem leads having a 2-in-1 harem and army is not new at all. Have seen the type several times before. This is copy paste traditional harem. The girls have no motivation other than getting into the guy's pants. They have no agency at all. They exist just to be in love with him. All their interactions with the MC are nothing but fanservice for those into hetero-romance. Just like his interaction with the guys is shameless fanservice for the BL crowd. Didn't think I'd say this but if I had to read a harem at all, I'd prefer the older heavily sexualised ones. At least, they were honest about what they were doing instead of acting holier than thou and pretending that your MC is better than those from the other harem while you are writing the exact same thing. Every moment of this story is just pure pandering to the fantasies of various sub-demographics that would follow a work like this.
Sure, the character concept was interesting. But in order to write a proper story, you have to trust that your audience can get over themselves and pay attention for longer than two pages. You have to slowly and patiently build up the world, have it make sense irrespective of the MC, and then put your MC in and write his story so that it is coherent with that of all other characters. But when all you are doing is fullfilling your cohort of 12 year old fanboys/fangirls' delusions of grandeur, of course, your first priority is going to be to come up with something that you can make the MC do or say that would make the audience go crazy and then write a situation which can serve as a stage for him.
I just got it. This isn't harem. This is reverse harem but everyone is gender swapped. This MC is exactly the kind of "I don't care about romance. But, I have guys going crazy for me and I love that. I'm gonna collect them all and relish the sexual tension with all of them but remember they are just my guy friends. I am so not like the other girls. I am so above all this sexual attraction and all. My relationships with all these guys that are in love with me is something more meaningful. I am not just playing hard to get. You must believe it because I say so. " MC that reverse harems have been loving more and more.
I don't have a great opinion of romance in general. Within that genre, I have less issues with harem compared to reverse harem because they tend to be more self aware of the two and don't take themselves too seriously. You can often laugh at their ridiculousless and you know that the author and the rest of the audience is right there with you.The latter on the other hand, especially their audience, seem to be convinced that they could seriously bring in a Pulitzer.
Definitely not something I would voluntarily choose to watch anymore, but if I was forced to pick one between these two options, I'd prefer traditional harem.

... what if the 'masked trash' is lee kiyoung; in the previous timeline, hyunsung didn’t become close to lee kiyoung from the beginning or lee kiyoung didn’t interest hyunsoo much because in this timeline kiyoung is interested in hyunsung's regressor title and is banking on hyunsung's knowledge of future perks.

The one time i actually want the side characters side story... EG the side characters from Cupid in the Rainbow Trap: I DO NOT CAREEEE!THEYRE SO BORINGGG and they're introduced as plot devices to stir up the main characters, throughout the main story i barely learnt surface level stuff about them (wowww they have the same coloured aura boohoo!)╥﹏╥
But these side characters have their own conflicts and goals, they have more interesting yet human reasons to stir up the main characters, and the chemistry is thereee. The foundation is all there for me to like them as characters on their own and it was sprinkled throughout the main story. I WANT MORE!!! GIVE ME MY ENEMIES TO FRENEMIES TO LOVERS ROMANCE!!

I think this is the best dom/sub-verse ive ever read. The rest always have a touch of dubious consent (to non-con) when dom/sub has it's roots in bdsm, and proper bdsm play prioritizes explicit consent. This couple has honest, comfortable conversation with each other; are always checking in with each other and seeking feedback.
This is sooo lame and all the characters are so dumb that it's hard to take anything seriously. Eg, just paraphrasing "if there's a heroine everyone loves, there's a villainess everyone hates for no reason" really??.. no reason?... that's not a villainess, that's a victim/scapegoat. The whole point of villainess-mc stories is for us to see either redemption or revenge. Dont come out the gate and whitewash the villainess; Boring! And everyone here is being so dense , it's giving a feeling that it's written by a 9 year old who has only grasped the basic concepts of shoujo.
They need to drop serializing these trashy stories who are just tryna get a piece of the villainess hype with no effort. Just drop it, it's oversaturated now, and just keep special attention to the good ones. Let's move on to the BL canon-fodder/villain novels or something idk.
then don't read it? if it's not your cup of tea then just go and pass into the other pantry?
o. m. g. It's almost like,, the comment section, is to post comments?? Even negative ones?? GASP!! what???
And I'm not reading it anymore btw. Duh.
