Wahhh thank you for the multiple uploads! ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~
It seems we're all divides by politics, but united in hating tHe BLesSeD OnE. I hope she dies miserably, OR she lives an even worse miserable life.
I also feel bad for our Liesel, who witnessed her helplessness in the face of the dying. That's gotta be one of the WORST things to experience, and at such a young age for her too. My heart goes out to her and to the old man
I...don't really like the ending. With the beautiful story telling from the previous chapters, the ending felt too rushed and the ML chosen for our MC felt like it came out of the blue?? I'm team Ellisa so it doesn't matter which ML gets to be with her, but implying that she'll be with the Marquis is so...surprising, honestly. It didn't feel like she had any form of chemistry with him, and they didn't stand on equal ground except for his first appearance and when Undine asked him for help when MC passed out. That's it. But she had a PLETHORA of scenes with Sir Rohan, his feelings developed gradually, and he literally saved her life countless times. I'm not on his side, but his relationship with her was just so much more fleshed out and believable. So it came as a HUGE surprise that the Marquis was the final ML??? And they just...tossed Rohan aside like some afterthought. Seriously.
But I get it, Sir Rohan couldn't dedicate himself wholly to her, and as much as he liked her, he valued his duty/loyalty to the emperor first. But isn't that a hallmark of a virtuous man worthy of MC?? Not to mention, he was the father figure of Leon!!! THAT'S not something you can easily replace.
So while I get the setup for him, it really doesn't make sense to me that: 1.) Asensio's apparently hunting him down to be killed as a traitor. 2.) He never made contact with MC or Leon before he left (maybe for their own sake? Idk) 3.) That the author sacrificed thus character for NO good reason, risking Leon's development because of the loss of a father figure, tainting his name, forcing a somewhat innocent man to become a fugitive, providing NO further context to his future, and not giving him any chance at closure with MC and the royals.
Like, damn. I know I sound like a Rohan fan, but I'm not. I'm rly just not satisfied with the ending
And like, what happened to the elementals? She said she borrowed their power for the fight with Ignis/Leon, but are they with her now? Or were they only present for the coronation? What about Prince Ismael's elemental? Didn't he approach MC because he needed help??? What help did he need? Did he get the help he needed? I mean, he did prepare a portal for her.
What about George and Jillian? The 1st empress consort? Countess Barain who was said to still be alive?
Idk man there are like so many things left to discuss, so many mysteries left unsolved, and I feel like the author doesn't treat their characters well. Sigh. I hope we have an epilogue or side stories because this ending feels so rushed and...dare I say, not well thought of. And I say that because the entire series, except for the ending, has been PHENOMENAL.BI was hoping for a just ending, and I hope the creators can deliver that.
Is this worth reading?
Also, what kind of person is the ML? Is he a soft, submissive kinda guy, a puppy type, a dominating one, a gentle demon, etc?
FL is a poor commoner who's 12, and ML is a toxic piece of shit who's 18. He regularly assaults her and threatens her to make her do whatever he wants. He only wants her because she hates him and she's the only thing he can't have.
He shoots birds to make FL sad and get her attention because she wants to bury the birds, then he threatens to shoot more to make her do whatever he wants.
He never changes or gets better btw, FL just develops stockholm syndrome and learns to live with the abuse, completely turning her brain off because she knows what will happen if she dares to think or question him.
Nope, the good guy who treats FL with respect isn't good enough for the author so FL rejects him multiple times and ends up with the guy who regularly assaults her and makes fun of her like she's a precious princess who's crying because ''hEr kIsS WaSn'T ThE WaY ShE WaNtEd'' completely ignoring that he forced himself on her knowing that she can't refuse because he threatens to fire her uncle if she dares to go against him.
He's a literally a textbook abusive psychotic stalker who rapes and threatens FL all the time because her being happy or defending herself is a crime he can't let happen.
Anyone know how I can read this on the gourmet scans site? Even when I turn off my adblocker, that darn pop up about allowing ads keep showing (๑•ㅂ•)و I just wanna read hq scans in peace!
(On pc only) If you right click and select "Inspect Element" you should be able to find the code that is responsible for the pop up and delete it. I used this technique in the past when I wanted to check reviews of companies I saw job offers for, but the sites told me to "Write a review first" for whatever reason. It should work with no issue, just don't mess too much with the code and you should be fine
I absolutely still adore this story, but it doesn't sit well with me that most of the fights between women were because of...love. Men. It's realistic, yes, but it feels like it was too emphasized that all women who hatid the MC all had the same motivation. I wish we couldve seen a simple clash in personality, a difference in ideals, varying motivations, or insecurity with their social standing, etc. Women fight & get jealous of each other for a myriad of reasons, and fights over men is just the tip of the iceberg. So it feels like a disservice to these characters.
On the other hand, I'm pleasant surprised by her sister! I HATED her guts and recently, she has proven herself to be a formidable ally to our MC! I like how she's scary in the social scene, and I can understand now how she could manipulate everyone to adore her before. I hate to admit it, but she's actually really Skilled!
