MC plans to get away with the help of his sister, unfortunately his sister plans to kill him after he gets very far from the palace. General will follow and look for the MC, save him, and MC will finally escape, live far away peacefully for 3 years, away from the emperor.
He leaves the palace and continues working for the CP/Emperor in a foreign land. He and the uke never meet each other again as far as we know (general sees uke in the place on accident after years of being abroad looking for him but uke doesnāt see him) and uke finds the sculpture he made the general on his doorstep which he knows is a sign the general is alive and well. Heās very happy because he couldnāt ask about the general since returning as he was afraid to upset the CP/Emperor or to learn the truth of the generals fate.
Yeah, they suffer enough to see their faults but doesnāt mean the uke should still associate with him. There are some cycles that should end and boundaries and self respect that should be set. If he really comes back with the Emperor, that only meant he didnāt learn from all the past mistakes that he did (i.e., loving and trusting the emperor when he was so shitty). But who are we to dictate if he should go back with the Emperor or not when clearly he will? No redemption will ever be enough for the Emperor to deserve the uke. Yeah, sure, heās changed but that doesnāt mean he deserves the uke.
But, thank you for the explanation! With regards to this story, I just want to know where to put my expectations and be ready with what happens next and your lil summary gave me an insight. <3
No, Iām with you on this. I absolutely hate doormat characters who let themselves be treated horribly and donāt break the cycle and I hate psychos who donāt get their karma, it ruins the story for me. Thats why I was surprised I enjoyed this ending so Iād say donāt give up on it yet since this is the turning point! :) (but yes in real life Iād find the CP in a dark alley and just off him myself because the uke is too damaged to have self respect)
