I feel like a lot of people are dissatisfied with how the author executed Litia and Daniel’s attraction with each other. I love Daniel and im rooting for him, but I feel like the more they rush the romance between them the more I’m reminded of how one dimensional they are.
I know it doesn’t need to be realistic, since its shoujo. But at the same time, I don’t think it’s believable to say that you’re attracted to this person just because he’s dark mysterious and handsome when youre surrounded by characters that also fit the same description + they all simp on you either way
And him falling in love with a supposedly dying beautiful girl while secretly having the mission to kill her makes me question what makes Litia so different and special(besides the facts she’s the mc) he had to postpone his mission and take her to a flower festival instead
Idk What are y’all’s opinion on this? Am I being overly critical? Am I just going crazy because of how many Isekais Ive read? Who am I? Why am I typing this at 2am in the morning?
Yes especially since the og would probably choose to continue to keep her illness a secret and everyone else will treat her normally. Those that are brought over to her side imagine a future together in the kingdom (like partners platonically or romantically), but then when the emotions pile up and her presence actually means something to the others, the truth of her impending death will crush everything and the guilt will simply come naturally for everyone she gathered. Because then she will make real connections without her illness being a factor in how they judge her and treat her. Then when they get really close, the slow burn will be worth it as they realize during all the moments they had together she was still suffering internally and they were unaware of it all and a failure of a confidante.
This one just uses her illness as an excuse to gather the pity of others and THEN win them over through their weakened sympathy for her situation. Basically, they fall for her "strong facade while battling a deadly illness" instead of her as a person, and the whole facade thing belongs to the og, this one has no right coming in and being oblivious to what she's doing in her body. The story doesn't waste time building deep relationships and just straight goes for others pitying her and falling for her frail and weakening constitute, honestly it's just a pity party for her and she's not even the real one who's experienced the worst of it plus she's not doing much to defend or maintain the pride of her beloved "Litia" so by now it feels like she's just mocking her situation.
I was in a terrible mood- until I read the latest chapter. Thank you translators
